The property was clean

It was advertised as boutique accommodation. Not the case. Also we were in a cabin attached to another by a very thin wall. Heard everything from next door. Way too expensive, when you advertise it to be a boutique outback experience

The retreat itself was beautiful and the facilities were great

The room we booked was a little older than we were expecting and not quite like the photos. However still clean and comfy, and equipped with everything you we needed and more.

Cabins are lovely, private, clean and comfortable.

No towels left for us, had to ring multiple times to get towels. Washing machines weren’t easy to use, never saw the staff. Check out was from 7am yet staff not in reception until 9am. There was not enough warm bedding for one queen bed in one cabin and no lamps beside beds. A few things need upgrading but overall nice cabins.

Good location

Cabin had paper thin walls so you heard the next door neighbour's conversations!! People next door dragged the chairs, which were heavy, so very noisy! Needs some cladding to insulate the walls.

Storage/lothes hanging apparatus did not work 4 pods for 2 people for 4 days when paying $1300+ for stay No BBQ or clothes line nearby. Outdoor baths not private and surrounds neglected.

LOVE LOVE LOVE - Saltbush Retreat was beautiful, the thought put into the slab hut's was amazing! Every little detail was thought of, and it made our experience their so special! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Rooms very bare and basic for expensive “boutique” pricing. You’d get better value and nicer rooms at the cabins in the caravan park down the road. Stains on carpet, rubbish from previous guests found in rooms. Tired, outdated incomplete and broken furnishing. We were really looking forward to staying here as a treat to ourselves but we were very disappointed and staff treated us with contempt as apparently we should have known we’d booked budget accommodation

Saltbush Retreat is directly over the road from the QANTAS museum and next door to the Stockman's Hall of Fame but it's 1.5 km into town. There is a walking track to town and it's an easy, flat walk. Our room was comfortable but certainly not the standard I expected from a "retreat". Everything was basic, even the teabags were a cheaper variety.

It was overpriced and other motels probably offer the same level of comfort for a lower price.

The welcome and location were both very good. The cabin was clean and prepared well.

The lack of a couch in the main room made it difficult to relax in the evenings. The wall between our cabin and the adjoining cabin was so thin we heard everything! We had inconsiderate neighbours who banged and dragged furniture around constantly.

We stayed in a slab hut and it was so unique! Very comfortable bed, and lovely furnishings. Great location too.

The location is great for access to the airport, Qantas Museum and the Stockman's Hall of Fame. Town is 2.5km away but an incentive for a walk to and from.

We've been to numerous locations around the world and Australia, even post COVID isolation, so when paying $200+/night certain expectations are in play. Unfortunately, they weren't met. Particularly when our cabin wasn't level.
