The dinning area was good.

A briefing by the staffs as to how we are going to plan the trip would have been useful.

We stayed houseboat in second week of December 2022. After reading reviews I was suspecious of quality of houseboat. I contacted property manager and asked details. He sent few videos and photos, to my surprise, houseboat was as shown in video. Owner has recently renovated the houseboat, very clean and nearly maintained properly. Afternoon lunch is tasty as compared to dinner. However you can order different food but order has to be given in afternoon so that before leaving the shore they buy all raw material. Fish fry served during lunch was very tasty. Manager takes care of all needs, they start in afternoon and cruise boat till evening 5:30 PM. after that they erect the boat. Boat is double decked with dinning room on upper floor having good music system. Passengers can enjoy having group dance. Rooms can easily accommodate 4 persons. Morning breakfast is also very tasty. They don't arrange hot water for bath, however as per my knowledge, same is the situation for all house boats in Alleppey.

The staff were friendly but that was it. Nothing else was good about this trip.

The houseboat was falling apart. The fixtures were old and worn. The bed sheets were still dirty from the previous guest. The chef couldn't cook anything that didnt have spice in it. Their English was limited. There was an engine smell in the bedroom. The houseboat polluted the waterways which were black from sewage. It was all diesel so belched black smoke into the air. Not a good experience at all. No card machine so had to get cash. No receipt for the cash. Then they wanted me to cancel my booking so they didn't have to pay commissions to booking.com.

Rooms could be bit more clean. Lot of dust on furnitures and fans.

Rooms were clean the cruise started on time. The food was good.

There were lizards in the open area of the boat. Lot of them and whole boat was covered in mosquitoes after 6pm. The staff drank the soft drinks that we had bought for ourself without even asking our permission.
