We've been holidaying in Funchal regularly, more or less, since 1986. Seldom has we found it so cold and wet as that year, but 2022 became a good contender. Last time we stayed in Berna we were happy always to find a shadowed spot on the terrace. This year it was the opposite. We moved with the sun throughout the day. Else? As all visitors already have written; Excellent living and friendly hosts that took care. Bus-stop outside. Monte (20, 21), Madeira Shopping, Miradouro Pico Dos Barcelos, Lido (13, 48) etc. just a GIRO and some splendid views away. Horarios do Funchal is the limit. In 2018/19 the apartment was unfortunately already partly booked by others. NoGo. Still, 44 nights on two occasions speaks for itself, we should think. Obrigado, Arne e Siri.

In days like this, february 24., one can only hope there will be another opportunity to visit this beautiful island. Be it at Berna or elsewhere.

Really nice apartment, very clean, amazing roof top terrace and very kind Melisa and Duarte! Everything was perfect!

This apartment was AMAZING! Melisa waited for us at the building and showed us the parking garage, the apartment, gave us recommendations. She had maps, advice, and everything we needed. She was lovely! The apartment is very spacious, has a big terrace with a great view of the city, a cozy living room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a very comfortable bedroom. Everything looks good and modern. It was the greatest accommodation we had during our travel through Portugal and Madeira. We could've moved there!

Everything was wonderful! We got a few days with rain and fog, but this is not related to the apartment. We stayed only 4 nights, and we really want to get back next year!
