Our stay at the “Maine house” as my kids were calling it was amazing. We absolutely loved the week we were there. Beth greeted us upon arrival and we just knew it was going to be a perfect home away from home.

This was our 2nd stay and we love it ! The view is just amazing and the location is perfect! My only suggestion would be to add a sectional sofa so we can hang out as a family. With only the love seat, our 17 yr twins hung out in their beds because the wicker chairs were not comfortable. It would be great to be able to all sit together ! It would definitely fit too plenty of space! Beth was great too , met scooter , so sweet ! Thanks for a great week !

This was our first time at the cottage and I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The view of Nubble and the ocean is wonderful. The cottage is just as described in the listing, only better. It was nice to know Beth was just across the street if we needed anything, she is so nice and helpful. We loved it so much we booked for next year!

This is our third time at this house and we have enjoyed our stays there immensely. We look forward to our next visit.

Very nice. All the amenities. Nice view of the lighthouse and the ocean from the back deck. Check in was easy. Walking distance to the beach and the restaurant the Lobster Cove. We are in our 70’s and found that lighting was a bit dim for us. We might bring our own lamp next time. We did not need either the air conditioner or the heat while we were there. The windows are plentiful and seal well. There is a bit of road noise as you are right on York street. Would rent again!

We had a great stay at the cottage! The ocean view (especially sunrises and moonrises) and salty breezes off the water were treasures. The cottage had everything we needed for an enjoyable and relaxing week.

This is my second year staying here and love every minute of it 😃

Lovely cottage with amazing views ! Had everything you needed ! We had just 4 of Us so would have loved maybe more seating in living room to watch tv together at the end of a long day.

The cottage was as pictured, well stocked with supplies and clean. The view is amazing and we loved sitting on the deck and being able to walk to the beach and explore the tidepools away from the crowds. Thanks for a great stay

Cottage was super cute and I loved the view from the living room window and back deck! Property managers (Beth) were very helpful.

Property location is great! Gorgeous views. We are older adults and this is not a practical place to stay. No comfortable chairs. Sofa at right angle to TV, so could not watch it easily from sofa. Sofa too soft. Only arm chair was too hard and small. Kitchen and bathroom were lovely. Dining table was nice. Just no comfortable seating.

We had a fabulous three weeks in September at Vivian’s house. Everything was perfect — the house was immaculate, the beds comfy, and the view amazing. We loved sitting on the back porch watching the waves. What a great view of the Nubble! The few times we had issues (we had some problems with the washer), Beth responded immediately. It was hard to leave when the time came but, hopefully, we will return soon.

This is our favorite place we have rented in York. Beautiful location, super clean, and friendly property manager right across the street.

Beautiful relaxing, enjoyed our stay

My daughter and I spent a week in York on the ocean at the best little 2 bedroom cottage I’ve ever stayed at in 15 yrs of visiting York. So cute with a view of the ocean and Nuble Light. Amazing! A walk to the beach and tons of killer restaurants. I’ll be back next summer for sure.

This property was perfect for our family vacation! We all loved the view from the deck. The house was very clean and updated and they provided so many helpful items. We were able to walk to long sands beach. We traveled with our two teen daughters and we found the house to be comfortable and the property manager was incredibly helpful with any questions we had… including the girls wanting to pick blueberries from the backyard. We would definitely stay here again!!

Awesome, well maintained and the view is magnificent. Beth is a delight and very helpful. An 8 year old took surfing lessons, loved the beach, Long Sands beach “Arcade” etc. I walked 6 miles to Nubble Lighthouse. We loved having company from California, they were so amazed by the cottage and the location. Thank you for such a needed respite. Loretta McManus, Vermont.

The house was clean, bright and airy with beautiful ocean views. We spent many hours on the back deck enjoying the salty air and sea breeze. The location was perfect - a nice neighborhood and an easy walk to Nubble Light (2 miles), York Beach (1 mile), Hartley Mason Reserve (1 mile). And an easy drive to many great towns.

The house and location were perfect. The house was spotless and the property manager was super helpful and checked in on us via phone to make sure we had everything we needed (she is right across the street which was great). We enjoyed every bit of our week long stay but the sunrises viewed from the back deck overlooking the water were breathtaking. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay York. Walking or biking distance to everything, including the beach.

Just like the pictures - well decorated and great views of the ocean in front and to the right. Grass bushes have gotten taller but still an amazing view (from inside and the deck). Hard to find something with that view in this price range. Good sidewalks to walk to the Lobster Cove restaurant and farther to Long Sands Beach. Nice to have a full size W/D and a very helpful property manager (Beth) across the street. Lots of little thoughtful things like brochures and maps for local activities. If you're tall enough (5'7") you can see the ocean when you shower! With the ceiling fans and keeping windows open at night, we never used the AC (lucky timing not to have 90 degrees). We (3 women) absolutely loved this cottage and had all the room we needed. Mille grazie to the owners for making this wonderful place available.

Awesome place to stay. Cottage was very clean and comfortable with a beach theme and enough storage for a family of four. The view of the water from the back deck was beautiful and Long Sands Beach is just a short 5 minute drive down the road. The property manager, Beth, was extremely friendly and the owners were great at communicating information about our trip. Would definitely rent again if heading back to York. Thanks for the great family memories!!

Nice week at the shore

Very cute house. Loved the view out the back and hanging out on the back deck. Highly recommend.

The cottage was sparkling clean and fully equipped (including oil, vinegar, plastic wrap/aluminum foil, salt/pepper, dish detergent, laundry detergent, etc). We stocked up on groceries and enjoyed a week of cooking in to avoid crowds and stay safe in the midst of COVID. Beth, the house manager, lives across the street, greeted us warmly shortly after we arrived, and gave us privacy while still being available if needed. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck while remaining physically distanced from visiting family members. We biked the Eastern Trail from Portsmouth to Portland over 4 days (out and back trips for each leg). Great ride! The rocky/pebble beach just a short walk down the street is quiet even during the busy weekends, and a great place for kids to play and for adults to relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean. York is a relatively busy/touristy area of Maine, and the cottage is right on the main route to the beaches, so expect significant vehicle noise while in the back yard during the day and into the evening. Also note that the cottage is not right on the water - there is one house between the back yard and the ocean. But the views from the cottage are still spectacular, it was quiet inside (we slept GREAT on the comfy bed!), very peaceful watching the sunrise on the deck in the early morning, and the location is excellent for anyone looking for close proximity to all that York and Southern Maine have to offer. We highly recommend this cottage and hope that you will enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Small but great house with a beautiful view! We will be back when the pandemic is over!
