My daughter and I spent 5 days at B14 hostel. We are really satisfied. The location is well connected, comfortable accommodation, hygiene at the highest level. I would like to praise the excellently equipped kitchen, it is the best of all the hostels I have stayed in so far. I really recommend this hostel from the bottom of my heart!

We saw that the person who was cleaning did not change the sheets after some guests left. Instead of changing the sheets he just folded them to make them look clean (which they obviously weren’t🤮). That was truly shocking to witness. It also made us uncomfortable that at first we couldn’t recognise the cleaning person as a member of staff since he was wearing normal clothes and was sitting in the common room at night. In the morning he was entering the dorm without knocking even though we were staying in a female dorm and he knew we where in there. Also that there is only one toilet for the whole hostel.

There is no space in the rooms for luggage, there are no lockers, there is no safe room to leave your stuff. I accidentally try to sleep in someone else's bed because it's not clear which bed is yours, and my room had a spare bed which looked like a sofa and was completely open to the view, instead of having curtains like all the others, so I had to sleep there. It's also very out of the way from everything, but it kind of worked out for me

Excellent hostel with good facilities in a residential neighborhood, very clean and looks new. Dorm beds are comfortable, curtains for privacy and good sleep, cosy since space in Reykjavik is at a premium. Automated checkin was smooth, supermarket and food options available until late within walking distance. City centre about 15 mins by bus which runs until late.

Nothing, note transport (public) required into the central city / attractions, not walking distance.

First of all the check in was very confusing. They have a self check in service. Another girl booked the hostel and didn’t receive codes to unlock the doors. So we had let her in the hostel. The photo’s on Booking.com don’t match the hostel. In the days we stayed we saw the manager, he did not say a word to his guests. He was very unprofessional. The hygiëne was very bad in the hostel, did not see a cleaning service in 3 days. There is just ONE toilet for the entire hostel. Which is also the shower. How is this possible. There was a bad smell in the bathroom. The water out of the tap smell like rotten eggs. We were happy we could shower and fresh ourselves up in the blue lagoon the last day. No way I would have taken a shower in this hostel. Good to know they not provide towels. You see me never Again!

Encouragement to share food with other guests and small but nice area to talk with each other. Very clean. Got help when needed.

I miss recycling facilities. Last bus from center 23.45 h (50 min. walk from center).

This hostel has really comfortable beds with privacy curtains and individual power outlets - exactly what you want after a long flight. The common areas are really nice as well and perfect if you need to catch up on work or some emails. It's not super close to the city center but it's really easy to reach if you're driving a car and there is plenty of parking. The staff members were also really responsive and helpful with any issues.

Bed was comfortable. Equipped kitchen. Coffee, cutleries, milk and some fruit juice is available for all.

Bed was comfortable but makes squeaky noises when you turn even remotely in the bed to your sides. Dirty floors. No lockers for luggage. very far from the city. Take bus S - 5 (Morkin stop) to reach the city or luggage locker at BSI Bus terminal.

I liked the hostel it was fine and the wi-fi was fine. The staff was friendly and the hostel was clean. The two care takers told me they clean the hostel everyday twice and it looked that way.

On one occasion I was rudely awakened by a person who said I was snoring. I told him off saying please buy an ear plug if you cannot afford one I can buy you one. So the staff should educate the people living in hostel that if there are 10 people in a room chances are someone would snoring so please be considerate and get some ear plugs if required and not to wake up that person. In the house rules it should be mentioned.

Soap dispenser and hand drier in washroom were broken, the staff knew and didn't seem to care. No freezer in the kitchen.
