We had a really lovely holiday on this beautiful island. Villa Andreas is a lovely, quirky property with a lot of charm. Reminiscent of other Greek houses I've stayed in before. The pool is a real bonus and a rare find. The kids loved it! The beds were very comfortable and there are two big outdoor areas which get plenty of shade and sun during the day. It's in a nice location - very quiet with a nice view from the balcony and a supermarket nearby.

This felt far more like someone's house than a rental property, with all the quirks that come with it. The pricing made me think it would be luxury accommodation and it definitely isn't that. What you are paying for is the pool. If you can make peace with that, and accept that not everything will work, and things are a bit weathered and used, then you will have a lovely time. NB this is a two bedroom property as the third double bed is in the roof where it gets VERY hot (we couldn't get the aircon to work whilst we were there). Probably better suited to 2 couples or a family with children. You do have to walk up a lot of steps from the main port (10 mins) so not suitable for anyone with mobility concerns. Communication with the host was reasonable, and they were quick to fix any problems.

The villa needed a good clean. It was dirty, the bathrooms were dirty and the surfaces in the kitchen sticky. The bed mattresses were hard and one tap in each of the bathrooms didn't work. The upstairs shower didn't work. The A/C unit leaked and stained the cushions on the patio. The barbecue didn't work. 2 of the chairs on the upstairs patio were broken. The whole villa needs repairing. The photographs of the villas must have been taken a long time ago. My friends and I were very disappointed.

We were attending a wedding and we had grandchildren with us. The pool was a welcome break after a long day. Hydra is not a great place for young children as in the main the beaches are pebble & stone.

The location of this property is not ideal. Although not a long walk from the port and town area it is all up hill and there are many steps to climb. If we had been warned we would not have chosen this property.

The Villa is a large house by island standards and this comfortably fit 5 adults. The pool and two patios were very nice Nice property manager Dimetri avail. When you want. Two nice groceriy stores on the block.

Location is up a lot of flights of marble stairs winding thru the neighborhood so you need to want to do that walk a few times a day and be in good shape when you do. We needed donkeys to bring luggage up and they charged 20 euro per donkey to that location. There are no cafes Nor restaurants nearby - so you have to make the long walk but that is what makes Hydra houses so worth staying in! Take the long walks, enjoy !

We loved having a patio to relax on during the afternoon hours when we would come back to the house.

The location is much different then what is shown on the map. We ended up really enjoying our out of the way location but it was a long way to carry our luggage.
