Great location, large room, separate bathroom, aircon, looked amazing, pool was fab, we played scrabble in the dining room, great for relaxing, staff were so attentive, felt very looked after

Bed were very hard, as were the day beds

Decor was beautifully appointed - stunning refurbished Peranakan houses. Perfect set up in the two storey villa for us and our 4 year old. Loved the pool.

Absolutely everything, the place is beautiful, the staff are lovely, everything is fantastic.

Large rooms. Good location

Steps or handrail at the pool would make getting in and out easier. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be more convenient than having to go downstairs to do. Slippers in the room would have been good. Would like to have breakfast provided.

My friend & I think that the room was really nice, spaciously perfect for our occasion. This 100-year-old rustic & modern minimalist features in the room are just awesome. Loved the electric kettle that blends nicely with the room. I personally love the hand soap, loved the smell. They are very thoughtful as they put in kiblat signage & a prayer mat for Muslim guests! A+ for that. The location was good too, a walk away from good local restaurants like Roti Canai Agyll Road, Nasi Padang, Penang Teowchew Chendol & Laksa etc. Just on your google map, and you're on your way to food paradise.

What this place missing is breakfast & in-room iron facilities. When checked with front-desk personnel, she said soon they will be having breakfast.

No breakfast provided. It would be good if the hotel can provide simple a la carte breakfast or American breakfast for the guest. The room is fantastic and the location is in the middle of city and easy access. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful mansion room and lovely decoration. A swimming pool (approx 3m x 10m and 1.2m depth) suitable for chilling out when it was too hot. The staff even served us cold water while we were playing in the hot afternoon. Great location. Across the street is an excellent tea house where we ate more than once.

It would have been great to have a simple toast with tea breakfast included. However it was not a big problem for us, as it was relatively easy to walk out for a breakfast. We ate thrice at Toh Soon Cafe for example which was about 5 mins walk way.

Beautiful heritage hotel. Gorgeous rooms. Great pool. Friendly staff.

No restaurant! So no morning breakfasts and no lunches or dinners on premises. This is super tricky for families and travellers arriving at odd times. There are apps to order food, but it's stressful trying to cater to a wide range of ages and palettes. I felt like I couldn't properly rest because I had to make sure that we knew where the next meal could be bought. Also think that the beds could be more comfortable. Ours was so firm I woke with a headache each day.

Great location and a beautiful heritage hotel. It felt very clean and spacious, and there was a friendly hotel cat that we enjoyed petting. A very charming hotel

A couple of minor things, there is an outdoor night light that shines into our window rooms at night. The hotel staff were helpful and turned the light of for us at midnight each night. Another complaint is the high price of adding a day bed, it’s costs an additional RM100 for each night and the ‘set up’ consists of just putting a blanket and pillow there. If I had known that I wouldn’t have paid the extra as we could have done that ourselves. in the end we did not need the day bed and I still got charged RM200 for the cost of having a day bed for 2 nights. This left a bad taste to the end of the stay

Instagram worthy property. If you want a pretty photo-op stay, this is it. Nothing else. Not worth it.

Everything. Dirty. Dated rooms. Dirty towels with huma hair on them. Uncomfortable in every way. Trickling water pressure in shower and sinks, a child's pee has stronger pressure than this property's sink and showers. No gym. Pool area sucks. Bad location. Traffic noise. Industrial type area. Nothing nearby of worthwhileness.

Stains on bedsheets, blanket, and towel. Lights in the toilet were not bright. Should have telephone to call receptionist or room service.
