Beautiful traditional B and B, facilities excellent. Lorna always goes above and beyond and welcomes you like a family member. Could not recommend staying here enough.

couldn’t of been more welcoming, professional in the bnb business. outstanding choices and cooked breakfast, with plenty more choices for snacks or cold breakfast. comfy bed and very quiet and peaceful sleep. ideal location. thanks very much for having us!

Owners were genuinely nice not the fake nice/customer service type of nice other people put on when meating a customer for the first time and interacting with them. The food is excellent and plenty, dogs are very much welcome and not looked down on as a potential mess, also the rooms are bigger and has all the facilities you will need for your stay.

Hosts were great, met on arrival with a cheerful welcome and they had some great walking suggestions. The breakfast was great, filling and freshly cooked with a great selection of fruit, yoghurts and snacks. The dog particularly enjoyed his breakfast sausage. We overheard another couple make some special requests such as herbal teas and porridge which were happily seen to. Our room on the top floor whilst fairly small was clean, tidy and warm and there were lots of little touches such as chocolates and oat milk provided in the room which made it a really comfortable stay, plus a great view of Latrigg from our window!

It would be very hard to find fault with the Brookfield B&B but it is worth noting that it isn’t a central location - probably a 15 to 20 minute walk into Keswick but the public path is traffic free and very pleasant and practically on the doorstep. Even coming home in the dark it was perfectly safe with head torches.

Great location!

The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was fantastic, all made using local produce. We were allocated a room with an amazing view., just a 20 minute stroll into town, either along the old railway route or along the road. We visited over the new year period and the hosts provided nibbles and a lovely New Years message for guests which was a lovely little touch. Tea/coffee options in room were the best I've seen in a hotel or guesthouse - they even provided a jar of marshmallows for the hot chocolate! All in all, we had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Simon and Lorna were super friendly, room perfect and it was permitted to stay with us our wee furry. The breakfast was espectacular. 100%Recommended

Just a bit noisy in the house

Warm welcome, comfy bed and good breakfast.

Ony tepid water in en-suite handbasin. En-suite heater defective and cleanliness below standard expected e.g hair conditioner dispenser in shower not working and removal showed black mould on fitting. Kettle had to been cleaned internally before it could be used.

Friendly staff, good location, comfortable room.

Bed was comfortable and the room pretty . Good selection of Gluten free cereals and jams etc . Treats in the room, including a small bottle of wine , chocolates and snacks

unfortunately a guest had a noisy child which was awake til late so I couldnt sleep early. not the proprietors fault.

We were greeted by Simon and Lorna, they were very friendly and informative about the surrounding area.

from the moment we rang the bell on the front door service was amazing. was a lovely warm welcome from the owners. we were in room 4 a big clean beautiful room the bed omg was beyond comfortable, I loved all the little complementary items in the room down to the marshmallows for hot chocolates. breakfast in the morning was amazing such a good selection and all fresh. your about a 15 min walk from Keswick u can walk the main road way (it’s literally one straight road) or on the bridge just right of the B&B there is a lovely little path the leads into Keswick as well.
