Jaloladdin and his family has been running this handsome Khiva B&B for over 20 years since his parents started it with only 2 rooms. It now offers 7 highly sought-after rooms, located right within Itchan Kala, the old citadelled city. Because of his father's profession as a fresco painter, the family's B&B has been lovingly decorated like a traditional jeweled palace. Our room had amazingly beautiful painted ceilings on both the bedroom and the balcony that overlooked the Itchan Kala walls. We enquired beforehand and Jaloladdin arranged a wonderful sunset dinner on their rooftop that offered panoramic views of Khiva rivalling that of nearby Terrassa restaurant, but the rooftop was exclusively and romantically our's that night! The local Khivan dishes served were sublime (Khivan plov and pumpkin manti). Jaloladdin's recommendations of a local Khivan restaurant for lunch and the transfer to Nukus were also perfect.

Our stay of only one night was too short!

J'ai tout aimé, la maison et les chambres sont magnifiques, le personnel est entièrement à votre disposition, le petit déjeuner est excellent. La décoration a été choisie avec soin. J'ai adoré mon séjour dans cette maison d'hôte.

Отличное местоположение, отзывчивая семья, чудесный балкон и отличная терасса на крыше, на которой можно встретить закат и попить чай. Самый красивый номер в Узбекистане, в котором мы жили. В целом отличный хоумстэй.

Wifi was a bit spotty at times, though that was the incoming provider line not the hotel's WiFi.

Idéalement situé au calme. Petit bnb familiale bien tenue. La chambre est grande avec terrasse côté soleil mais il y a la climatisation. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Le patron est très arrangeant.

Mi dispiace molto che questa struttura non debba avere tutti 10, ma ho richiesto un transfer da khiva a bukhara e loro puntualmente me lo hanno fornito… MA NON ERA UN VERO TRANSFER… la persona che ci è venuta a prendere, non ha proferito una parola, durante il tragitto si è fermato più volte a compravendere pezzi di ricambio, guidava in modo spericolato e ad alta velocità, abbiamo chiesto di fare una sosta per il pranzo e si è fermato molto dopo approfittando di un distributore dove ha rifornito l’auto. Inoltre l’auto era datata, aveva i sedili distrutti e scomodi, senza sospensioni adeguate (il viaggio è durato quasi 7ore), ma la cosa peggiore è stato l’odore del gas nell’abitacolo che abbiamo respirato per l’intero tragitto. Quindi se volete soggiornare nell’hotel andate ad occhi chiusi, se avete bisogno di un transfer, parlate chiaramente col proprietario una volta che ve lo prenota.
