Stunning location. Lovely staff. Excellent food. Healthy Hippie breakfast was gorgeous. Free kayaking. Good range of local trips offered. We particularly liked the village tour / pepper plantation.

Lots of wooden steps to negotiate. Not a problem during the day but as the bathroom is below the bedroom it did mean negotiating external steps in the night. Would have preferred air conditioning, though we were given an extra fan when requested which helped a lot.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and they all spoke very good English. We were there for four days but didn't see or meet the owner during that time so he obviously keeps a very low profile and leaves everything up to his employees. The food was very tasty. The mojitos were particularly refreshing after a hot day. Location was great although it was a little noisy over the weekend due to it being Chinese New Year weekend. Great sunsets and a very relaxing place to be for a few days.

The riverfront room was quite small and it wasn't easy to get around the bottom of the bed as it was so close to the wall. The balcony was also very small and not comfortable to sit on. Although there was a kettle there were no mugs (just tiny little Chinese style tea cups). There wasn't a fridge so if you wanted to make your own coffee/tea with milk there was nowhere to keep the milk cold. I think the restaurant should include more than one cup of coffee in the breakfast rather than charging for a second coffee.

les huttes sur 3 étages salle de bain en bas et chambre au 3ème niveau avec un escalier aux marches irrégulières et mal éclairé la nuit. un peu compliqué si besoin de descendre … Assez loin de la vile (15 mn en tuc tuc)

L’emplacement au bord de la rivière est merveilleux. Les cocktails et la cuisine délicieux.

L’établissement est vieillot et pas très bien entretenu, planches du pont cassé, échelle pour descendre à la rivière trop courte, chambres pas très propre.

Great service and food, nice location

Food was excellent, staff was outstanding and extremely helpful! Enjoyed our stay and our tours. It was exactly as advertised.

L'isolation phonique de notre chambre (proche rue). La non possibilité de louer des scooters sur place ou de se les faire livrer.

Erstes Mal im Baumhaus geschlafen und es war richtig toll. Mir hat das ganze Ambiente sehr gefallen und kann es nur empfehlen für Leute die etwas Ruhe brauchen. Der Fluss und der Sonnenuntergang sind traumhaft gewesen. Auch das Hauseigene Restaurant war super lecker. Komme gerne wieder

Le cadre de l'hôtel est très joli. Les abords de la rivière où se situent le bar et le restaurant sont bien aménagés et avec beaucoup de goût.

Notre chambre n'était pas du tout confortable. Les draps sont trop petits pour le lit adulte, et sont tachés. La salle de bain avait la douche bouchée, dés notre arrivée. Pourquoi? C'est mon mari qui l'a débouché. La clim fait un bruit de moteur de camion dés qu'elle de déclenche. La terrasse qui aurait dû être très agréable, ne l'est pas, le toit est pourri, les débris tombent dés qu'un peu d'air est ressenti. Il est très désagréable de boire un verre et que les débris nous tombent dessus. Le restaurant est bon mais les prix sont trop élevés par rapport au prix de la chambre. Notre chambre mérite un gros coup de neuf. Il est dommage de voir que ces commentaires négatifs ont déjà été évoqués mais l'hôtel n'en tient pas compte. On se fait berner par les très belles photos prises mais qi ne reflètent en rien l'état de la chambre occupée.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf bij sabay beach. Het personeel was ontzettend aardig en lief voor de kinderen. Het eten is super lekker! Het is een fijne plek om tot rust te komen gelegen aan de rivier met mooie zonsondergangen en veel groen.

Het is verder weg van het centrum, maar dat wisten we van te voren. Je kunt hierdoor niet makkelijk ergens anders eten. Dat is op zich niet erg omdat het eten hier zo lekker is, maar het is wel wat prijziger. Bij een harde regenbui hadden we iets lekkage in ons huisje (boven 1 van de bedden).

maybe the fact that the room is a bit dark and a few animals scared us in the room (little frog and Blue geko, beautiful but a bit scary)

Beautiful sunsets over the river. Friendly staff. My room and bathroom were as expected.

Sabay is about 15 mins outside town on a tuk tuk, which is a $10 round trip. It would have been helpful to know this in advance as I may have chosen to stay in Kampot for convenience. The food was tasty but expensive compared to town, another thing to bear in mind depending on your budget. However, the big disappointment was the noise. There was building work going on nearby which started at about 6.30 am and continued through the day. I appreciate this was out of their control but I chose the location for it's peace and tranquility. There was also club music from somewhere nearby until 11pm both nights that I stayed, and unfortunately, a very rowdy group of guests that at 3am were making a lot of noise in the shared area near the bar.

Quiet, beautiful view, nice staff

There was a construction site next door on both sides of the property. Management should have informed us prior to arriving and offered either a discount or simple notification. This did not happen and always should in these situations.

Had a wonderful stay at Sabay Beach. The location is fantastic, right on the river and a short drive to town. Food was delicious and the kids loved jumping off the dock into the river. Great stay!

The perfect spot in Kampot. The peaceful view over the river is spectacular and you have the option to get a room with air con if you prefer.

Slept fairly poorly due to a very loud wedding party running for two late nights. This was out of the control of Sabay Beach though of course.

Very noisy during all nights ! The room in the treehouse was very standard, value for money not good at all (at least if breakfast was included it would have been okay). Staff very friendly but a bit strange sometimes, weird reactions.

We had a great stay at Sabay beach, peaceful views, perfect to recharge. Restaurant is delicious. Staff very friendly and organized, the tuk tuk tour around Kampot was great and all organized by the hotel at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

The room could maybe use a little renovation.

We very much liked the relaxing atmosphere, the great food, the little beach and obviously the special accomodation in a tree house with a comfortable bed. Free drinking water refill. The staff was very attentive and friendly. It's the perfect location for exploring Kampot (~20min tuktuk) and the surrounding pepper farms (~45min tuktuk). You can swim in the river and rent kayaks. Would definitely recommend!

Basic bathroom and lots of mosquitos.

I visited Sabay Beach in January 2020 and didn't regret it to visit again. The staff always goes the extra mile, the sundeck and the restaurant are the super spot to admire the beautiful sunsets in Kampot. The food is tasty, they provide drinking water for free. Looking forward to visit again.

The Cleaning in the rooms could be a little better. Our room was very humid.
