This is probably the most unusual and special hotel I’ve ever stayed in - an incredible experience from start to finish. It’s a luxurious wealthy spice merchant’s home from the old days, brought up to modern day standards and somehow retaining its charm, and made into a comfortable hotel in the middle of the city. The staff are exceptional - live piano and violin music over breakfast is great, even better when accompanied by emotional vocals.

Palacio das Especiarias has an excellent location near all major attractions or just a quick UBER drive to any of them. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby as well as a lot of entertainment. Breakfast was fabulous and varied. The staff is really nice and helpful. I loved the sound of the piano and at times a duo with a violin while having breakfast.

The room/bathroom was a bit small and there is not much storage space. There are a lot of stairs to go from floor to floor as the elevator is tiny and not too practical. It was not a problem for us yet it could be for certain guests.

Clean, well preserved, friendly service, historic, great energy.

The deco and the service are impressive. There are a lot of nagivation and spice-themed motifs, which echo very nicely the name of the hotel. Service side, we really feel treated as distinguished guests in a palace. The staff are definitely the best asset of this establishment. The fado dinner was also very well organized. Thanks for the great hospitality!

Part of the floor in our room has some elevation, kids and elderly people need to mind the steps, especially when lights are dim.

I pretty much loved everything about my stay - the place is straight out of a magical fairytale - the decor, the atmosphere is very romantic. Super clean, staff is very friendly! The breakfast was some of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. 5 ⭐️.

This place is simply beautiful. the atmosphere it is relaxing and you feel in a little oasis within the vibrancy of the city. Rooms and clean. Breakfast delicious and the little spa gives and extra point to the restoring and relaxing vibe of the place. The staff is kind as they make sure that everything goes well during the stay. I definitely recommend it and I will definitely come back!

The Hotel was Grand on a small scale (Sounds like a contradiction) beautifully restored. Genteel would be a good description but certainly not old fashioned. The staff at the Hotel were delightful particularly Marcio who couldn't do enough for us I'm sure Marcio will be a future manager. The best endorsement I could give is I would stay there again. We had a wonderful stay David & Bridget Hunt

El servicio fue atento hasta el punto de pasarnos a una suite real porque una familia con bebé nos hizo imposible descansar. Natalia y Diogo fueron encantadores y muy resolutivos. El sitio es una joya en el centro de Lisboa, y los desayunos con piano y violín son los más completos y bien cuidados en los que nunca he estado.

No puedo decir nada malo del hotel, de su personal o de las instalaciones. Un acierto total.

This hotel was exceptional in every way. The staff were great and attention to detail such as wine tasting in the cellar and afternoon tea served whenever you wished (free of charge). The hotels history was just an added bonus.

Beautiful decor, great selection for breakfast and great location.

The property should specify that (to my knowledge at least one of) the rooms with 2 single beds is at level -1 with no windows. It looks just like the pictures but it is very small. We were back at 3PM at the hotel and the room was not made up. .. We had to speak to the staff a couple of times before they offered an alternative.

ピアノやバイオリン、歌の生演奏をききながらの朝食、お料理も素晴らしいですが、お菓子もポルトガル各地のお菓子が揃っていて目で見ても楽しく、本当に素晴らしいです。 　街歩きするには最適な立地も素晴らしいですが、一番素晴らしいのはスタッフの方々！たくさんの方が働かれていますが、みなさんとても親切でフレンドリーで、居心地良く過ごすことができました。ありがとうございました。

L'attitude scandaleuse de Booking.com qui n'a rien respecté, ni le prix initialement affiché, ni sa promesse d'offrir toutes les liaisons aéroport/hôtel, à telle enseigne qu'il n'y aura plus jamais de réservation de ma part avec cette entreprise nulle de chez nuls !!! D'ailleurs l'Espagne poursuit Booking.com de vant la Commission Européenne - et je vais lui offrir par la même occasion nos déboires !!! Cette entreprise est non seulement non fiable, elle est très franchement NUISIBLE : UN PARASITE !!!
