Nothing fancy, but everything is just ok. Clean, quiet, balcony with a chair to sit, good self-service breakfast with Nespresso machine, toaster, croissant. No fresh orange juice, but what can one expect for this price?

The mattresses are a bit hard, you can solve that by taking a few extra pillows from the closet.

Monchique is a beautiful village above Portimao and a great location for a lovely 30 mins drive to the Autodromo International Algarve

I was traveling by bike and did not know my arrival time, yet the nice lady was waiting for me all the time. Also I had to leave very early next morning, yet she got up at 6:00 a.m. and prepared the breakfast only for me. It was a nice experience Recommend 100%

We liked having a balcony with a view over the valley, and it was exciting to see the Mountain Helicopter taking off and landing. Continental style cold breakfast was included and featured nice brioche and buns, yoghurts, juice, cheese and ham and a coffee maker for guests to help themselves. The hotel features a snack bar for drinks and snacks, and we ate twice at a restuarant close to the hotel (Retira da Bola - no menu and no English spoken but excellent food and prices for the Dish of the Day). We also had a good recommendation from the hotel owner Antonio to eat at A Charette restaurant, an 8 or 9 minute walk from the hotel in the town centre.

Super place to stay really handy for a walk into town, exceptional value for money, our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed including fridge and kettle and a lovely balcony to sit out and admire the view Continental breakfast was very good We will definitely stay here again if we’re in the area

The facilities are as described and pictures are relevant. View on a parking + helicopter + mountain in the background. Room were very clean, balcony appreciated. Location is good, big free parking if you have a car, city at walking distance. Area is very quiet

Owner was not super friendly, maybe a problem of language… Bed are super hard, depends if you like it or not. We booked 2 nights but stayed only one, we didn’t have that much to do in Monchique after all except of our trail in the morning but after that… so we left for the west coast instead. But this had nothing to do with the hotel in particular

Location was perfect - easy walk into centre of Monchique.

More choice at breakfast would have been nice - bacon and eggs for instance.
