The staff was super kind and welcomed me even if i arrived pretty late. The room was spacious and clean. The bed super comfortable.

The temperature -- the room was warm, a great escape from the Nagano chill outside (in early November), but the caveat with this is that you have to close the bathroom door (and maybe the wooden window frames) for the heater to be able to heat up the room. The bathroom is an ice box that will defeat the heater even if you set it to 30C. The bathroom isn't a problem once you turn on the hot water though. I also actually like the location, it's very close to Gondo Station (2 stops away from Nagano Station) and the Gondo Shopping Street, although that shopping street is half-dead. It's about halfway between Nagano Station and Zenkoji Temple, though I believe closer to the temple, and both are within walking distance if you like to walk. Also, one of the receptionists can speak English, and many of the signs in the building and room are translated into English too, e.g. the heater/air-con, so it's not a worry if you cannot speak Japanese.

There was no bidet on the toilet, the microwave and water flask were in a shared area outside the room instead of having a private one (the water flask in particular was annoying to have to share), and the bed had a little raised portion at the foot of the bed that I'd always bump against while trying to get into bed. I couldn't figure out how to open the window more than 1 inch. And the bathtub was sloped a little weirdly so there's always a tiny pool of water or a water stain at the bottom of the tub since the drain isn't the lowest part of the tub. I only used the shower in my stay though. Also, while the room was lockable, it didn't feel super safe due to a lack of a bolt or chain or something on the inside. I also agree with others who said that the location was a little sketchy, but there's not much they can do about that. Approach the hotel from the south, using the road from the shopping street, though. (And I also agree with that other review that said it was probably a repurposed love hotel! But it's not, now, and it's clean and comfortable.)

Price, size of the room

Neighborhood is safe, but looks weird. Looking at the rooms, it seems that it is, or was at some point, a love hotel.

Near to Nagano Gondo station. Had nice Chandler lights in the room.

No washlet/seat warmer in toilet. It was hard using in Winter. No cloth hangers in bathroom.

The decor was great

spacious!! The hot water was nice as you didnt have to adjust the temperature.

the elevator is too small just fit for two people. A bit far from the station so didnt recommend staying here during winter

I had a very good stay in this hotel! The location was very convenient (3min walk from subway and 20min from Nagano train station). Also lots of shops nearby. The rooms are super quiet and have all you need for your stay. As a plus, the room where I stayed was beautiful and really large. I would def stay here again!
