The property was tastefully furnished. immaculately clean and full filled all our requirements. it was extremely comfortable and cosy. I would highly recommend Whale Watcher 2 to anyone travelling through this area.

The addition of a washing machine would have made this property 100% perfect for people travelling for a few weeks around Tasmania.

Amazing view from the balcony, nice style of appartment and great kitchen.

Location was quite far from everywhere with no taxi services and a lot of local shops shut early, you need to rely on a car and stock up on food before arrival. The adjoining wall to the next door appartment was quite thin so you could hear their tv etc.

The view of the ocean is amazing, the location is perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the chair kept outside and having hot food and drinks with the ocean view

We had no issue with the kitchen utensils but it is just enough, if we have need some one cups and fork, we had to wash it and may it need abit upgrade on the utensils. Whale watcher 1 and 2 are two unit attached and the door in between the lounge most probably allow the sound to pass easy. U can easily listen the footsteps and the running water, incomprehensive chatting. We did not consider it as a problem but u would not expect your attention taken those things like someone is noticing what u doing kind of, especially when u r on holiday. The bed is really good and very comfortable however, it may need person to fix the sound cracking when u move around in the bed. And the light through the curtain in the morning was abit concern but it did not bother much. Otherwise, the area is spacious, toilet are good and we overall enjoyed staying. The service from the people who run was extraordinary.

Nothing but one little suggestion could be adding an extra lounge chair facing the water.

The view from the apartment and balcony was lovely and the bed was comfortable.

Way overpriced for the amenities provided (we paid $330 per night). There is no dishwasher or washing machine, and although this is mentioned in the property description, for the price I would expect these basic items. The “BBQ” is a portable electric grill in a drawer in the kitchen, and it was broken. The bathroom is disabled friendly - which means it it a large room with open shower in one corner, toilet with no lid in another, small basin in a third, and some shelving and plastic clothes airer in the last - it certainly doesn’t feel luxurious. There is only one small lounge (although there is a small “bed” for a third person, there would be nowhere for them to sit) and a very small TV. There is plenty of room for more seating. The attitude of Freycinet Holiday House is quite officious and their position seems to be “we’re right and the guest is wrong” which is evident in their replies to other reviews. There are laminated rules placed around the house that give it a feel of a school dormitory. We arrived early and phoned to see if we could check in. We were in the driveway and could see that the property had been vacated and cleaned so didn’t think it would be a problem. The person on the phone said check in codes were controlled by computer, would be released 10 mins before check in time, and that she could do nothing about it. Not helpful or pleasant. We did read when we eventually got in that they do allow early check in on the day, but obviously they don’t. Overall, the property felt rather cheap - no thought has gone into making the place comfortable for the guest and there were none of the amenities you would expect for the price. I would not stay again or recommend.

The view is amazing, the apartment itself is well appointed and has all you need. Bed is one of the more comfortable you’ll find.

Property listed when using the search filter “entire property to myself” and in a sense this is accurate. You don’t share an entrance or common space at all and the balcony’s have privacy screens. You will however hear any guests in the adjoining apartment, you’ll nearly hear their thoughts the insulation is beyond poor... non existent. You hear toilet usages, cutlery clink, phone calls (the person on the other end) footsteps, conversations, bags being unzipped literally everything.

Location lovely

I booked for 3 adults and only realised that there was only one bedroom and an ottoman. The website should have rejected 3 adults I believe for this booking. When I queried what an ottoman was I was told it was suitable for a small child. I found all correspondence with Freycinet Holiday houses quite officious and the laminated signs around the house the same. WiFi was mentioned but no method of logging in was to be found. The most important information regarding number of bedrooms and the fact that it is an attached property was buried in the small print. I shall not be recommending the place to others.
