Best stay i've seen on Koh Chang, maybe in all of Thailand. Dilşad (the owner) is determined to make your stay as accomodating as possible. He cooked Kebap, bought drinks, organized transportation, just all around a great host. Location is very tranquille, quiet, relaxing. Friendly dogs and cats to pet all day (: everything feels very secluded, everything is clean, even no stones on the beach, which is not normal on Bang Bao. Good bars and restaurants around. Up the road there is a mini mart and for 7/11 you walk 10min or take Dilşads scooter if you ask nicely (: I came as a guest and went as a friend. Thank you for everything Dilşad!!

Perfect location for those wanting to stay away from the hustle and bustle

Owner was friendly, there were lots of cats around, and the cabin with waterview had a hammock that was really nice.

Rooms were not very clean, it didn't look like they had swept or cleaned the sink in one of our rooms. Private beach was pretty rocky, but nice view.

This little place is Simply perfect! It is more in Mediterranean style than Thai style so you may miss a bit of Thai feeling in there, but you can just reach the nearby restaurants on the beache and you will find that feeling again :) the place is very clean, the owner is super nice and kind and ready to help If any problem. there is an entrance to the sea right in front of the bungalows, just a little bit rocky as the owner was moving away most of the big rocks to facilitate the entry to the sea :) a bit steep way down/up, but owner can help you to carry your luggage if you need. Also there are not so many insects and mosquitos as I was expecting, and no monkeys around to steel your stuff :D a big plus are the chilling dog and the lovely kitties staying around there, if you love animals :) You would never want to leave the place once you get there, so peaceful and relaxing atmosphere! We were planning to stay just 5 nights, but we ended up staying 10 more days! I would give more than 10 if I could :)

Nothing, it was just perfect!

We really loved the position. The view from the balcony was lovely. Berk was very pleasant and helpful at the start of our stay. The room was large, lots of beds, kitchen area, bathroom. Decor was tired but it lent itself to the atmosphere, so no complaints there. If you know the film Popeye with Robin Williams you'd kinda get the idea. The garden and beach area was very untidy and messy, but I guess we were a little off season.

Okay so.. On arrival it wasn't the easy to find but then it is called the secret garden so we were met by a lot of dogs walking down the steep slopes. If you are unsteady on your feet or afraid of dogs then this is NOT the place for you. This was my daughters (14) first experience of Thailand Island so she was quite impressed by the view and how beautiful and natural the surroundings are is The beach area was very stoney but that was okay, a little area to go into the sea to swim (sort of.) From the garden you can get to a selection of bars / cafes/ restaurants, but you have to climb some rocks with a lot of rubbish and this is quite difficult at night, so walk round into the road and face the baking dogs. Everything was going well until the inevitable happened. My daughter was bitten by the owners dog. This drew blood and even though Berk told us that the dog had all its injections, would you take the chance? Of course not. Berk looked concerned, but did very little to help, no first aid kit, no suggestion of Doctor or hospital. Then he suggested to offer to get a taxi which he did, but did not pay for it. Nothing. The hospital was on the other side of the island, so it cost more of our budget. The injections cost ฿10,000.00 (£250/$300/€270) with a further £50 two days later. Berk had offered to pay the hospital fees. I hoped that insurance would cover it, either way it was his duty as the owner of the dog and accommodation to help, but he didn't. No help finding alternative accommodation, no compensation. On our return,I asked for the dog to be loccked up while we collected our belongings. He offered for us to stay overnight before moving, which we declined. We wanted to get out ASAP of course. I told him that we would be taking our things and finding other accommodation He messaged me to offer any help, I sent him the receipts but got nothing in return. I explained this had really messed up our holiday in time & money.

We love staying here! They have lovely cats and dogs. The staff was super friendly and attentive. They arrange a bike for us on a close shop. You could swin there and watch the most amazing sunset in the garden. The room was simple but confortable and the bathroom had a nice size. The price was very good for that you get.

If you want to explore the north side of the island (where you can find sandy beaches) be prepared for a long (and dangerous) ride. These roads have many curves and not suitable for first time riders. We watched a pretty nasty accident on the road to White beach. So, have this in mind if you stay on this part of the island. On the other hand, if you are coming from Koh Mak or Koh Chang you will be just steeps away from the Bang Bao Pier (uphill, so expect to walk a little bit).

Lovely secluded spot. Good view over the bay to Bang Bao. Very friendly and helpful owner. Being able to walk to some good snorkelling a big plus.

A bit scruffy- the outdoor furniture could do with smartening.

It was so pleasant stay during our trip. Berk and his mom are the best hosts - cheerful and always helpful. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxed stay - you can't pick any better. This however means, that most of the night life is located more to the upper west part of the island.

The host and his mom have been very kind and helpful, the host helped us to book a couple of trips around the island and to get around while his mom prepared breakfast with fresh fruits for us. The location is great, right next to the sea and close to other restaurant, there's a place where you can do yoga close by and a few Thai massage shops.

The accomodation could have been cleaner (walls painted, the bathroom had a strange smell) and the garden and water activities furniture could be kept in better condition.

Beautiful experience! The rooms are surrounded by greenery, clean and comfortable. The owner family welcomed us from the first moment making us feel at home and doing their utmost to provide us with the maximum support. On the last night to say goodbye they even organized a barbecue and prepared one of the best grilled fish ever along with lots of turkish delicacies! The place is facing the sea and with access to the beach, it is possible to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets thanks to its privileged position. Thanks guys, we'll be back to see you!!

Family run basic guesthouse. It was what we expected. We enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very friendly and helped us with many things. Very good value for money. Good wifi.

The owner is a very nice person and was always willing to help. He made our stay very comfortable. Location is great, good restaurants and beaches around. Also the beach in front of the villas is quite nice. There is a small boath which we could use anytime. Amazing especially at sunset. Room was perfect, AC was great and room very clean.
