Our stay at Highfield House was very pleasant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the place was spotless. The breakfast was fresh and delicious (Irish breakfast, varieties of fresh fruits and cereals, ...). We felt very comfortable and the host recommended a great place for dinner. A great place for a quiet getaway.

Paul was very accommodating he even offered sandwiches as I was leaving early for work and couldn’t take breakfast

The owners were absolutely wonderful. Very accommodating, we didn't have to ask for anything. They were very nice and served a great Irish breakfast almost every morning we were there as well as a full table of other items like cereal and fruit. The bedroom was clean and what we needed. The view from outside the house was beautiful.
The beds weren't the most comfortable but they did the job!

We liked that we were in walking distance to the village which boasted two great pubs, a iasty takeaway and a shop open at almost all hours

I had to skip breakfast because I was running late for the airport. But a look at the dining room made me felt I needed another visit here.

This was an amazing boutique B&B. Every detail was considered and executed to perfection. The host was amazing and extremely helpful. It was a great experience I will carry with me forever.
You will need a car to explore Ireland from here. The village itself is a gem to be experienced.

We were very well looked after by our host. After a hard bike ride we were welcomed warmly, our bikes stored away securely and the room was great. There were no restaurants in walking distance but the host was happy for us to eat our fish and chips out on the patio with lovely views.

Breakfast was good
The ‘delux’ room had no window, just a skylight- a tiny 10ft square room. There was a minute tv with a remote control that the batteries kept falling out of. No shampoo or shower gel supplied.

It was very comfortable to stay breakfast delicious and plenty of it I really enjoyed my stay in highfield house bed was very comfortable and clean and friendly staff makes all the difference

They had a great variety to eat and we enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast that had an added bonus of wheaten bread and white pudding.
Didn't appreciate the tea making facilities and toiletries being on the landing. When I stay in a BB I expect them to be in the room and not have to creep out to make a cuppa in my pj's.

Paul and Yvonne were friendly, the house was beautiful and Paul prepared a delicious breakfast.
Not a far drive from Mullingar, which was handy for dinner.
the location provides beautiful views, but the immediate roads are very narrow and we are older, so didn’t feel safe to walk the narrow road to the pubs.
