Impeccable staff, unbeatable views, and an unreal hotel experience. Truly unforgettable! Attention to detail from the Huma bay team made our trip and we are so thankful for all of them.

Genuinely couldn’t name a thing

The suite we had was nice with garden view and shared terrace!! The dinner at Mudra restaurant during the sunset was breathtaking!!

Check in took too long. We had to wait more than 2 hours! Staff were young and needed more training! Also there are too many stairs!! Parking is not free!

The hotel was generally dirty throughout. Rooms weren’t cleaned during the visit. When I arrived to my room there was rubbish and discarded food in the toilet and cobwebs on the ceiling. The towels in the room were threadbare. The hotel and beach bar were a rip off and at least twice the price of any other local bar or restaurant. The hotel bar did not sell any draft beer or local bottled beer. The hotel room layout was poorly thought out. The door to the wc opened into the toilet. The breakfast while plentiful was of a poor quality and standard. Staff weren’t very helpful.

Reception is disfunctional, too little cleaning staff, pool hygiene.

Bathrobes we’re dirty, stains on bath mat. No bathroom door. Terrace was accessed through the shower. F&B ridiculously expensive and poor quality. Sushi restaurant didn’t have sushi, or very much else. Breakfast was embarrassingly poor. We were told no laundry facilities. No iron in room. Staff were very friendly but seemingly untrained. Nowhere near being a 5* property.

The room was overlooking the street. There was nothing beautiful in it. It was very bad in relation to the amount paid. The long distance from the room to the reception. We pass on the main street, exhausting us.

We were quite surprised that there were barely any guests eating dinner there. When we looked at the menu there wasn’t a lot of choice and it was very expensive. We noticed other guests sitting at a table and leaving once they saw the menu. I’m not sure if it was because we were a little out of season but it was a shame.

All of it! A few niggles, but nothing major and nothing the reception staff weren’t happy to discuss and answer for. It was a great place and I would heartily recommend it! We will return

Too many staff in the breakfast room doing very little and it felt uncomfortable sometimes - especially the staring . It was new staff in training - so hopefully this will sort itself out with some good skills advice.

Overall good and clean hotel. The location was convenient, close to the city. The beach was nice and clean. However the best thing about the hotel was the staff. They were all very kind and helpful especially the staff at the beach and at the restaurants.

Definitely not a five star hotel experience, not the best value for money. We got a very dark room at the -1 level with small widnows and no natural light. We asked to change the room and although the hotel was half empty we were told that there is no other available room. The housekeeping service was awful, we stayed for five days and the room was not cleaned even once. We had to ask for fresh towels and waited for hours to get them. Apparently there was a lack of cleaning staff. We had no place to dry our clothes after the beach. No iron or hairdyer in the room.

accommodation was not as booked through booking.com. reception/housekeeping staff showed little understanding or interest in resolving. over charged for spa treatment by €30 and charged twice for one spa treatment.

1. When we arrived out 2.40 we were told to wait in the lounge for approximately 20 minutes and someone would tell us when the room was ready. After 40 minutes we went back to the front counter to ask and it was clear the staff had completely forgotten. They then rushed to prepare us a room. 2. When we got to our room it clearly wasn’t clean. There was a half-eaten chocolate bar in the fridge from the minibar, chocolate on the unmade bedsheets, open shampoos in the shower and the sheets were dirty. We called reception and they sent up someone from the restaurant to check the minibar.. he then said he’d tell reception and they would call. Again, no one callled so we went downstairs. They said they’d fix it immediately. When we came back to the room this evening the sheets were clean but the minibar still has an open chocolate in it, and the bathroom still has empty containers in it. I went down to reception to tell them and their response was, “we won’t charge you for the open chocolate”.

Facilities are relatively new. The team is passionate and hospitable. The location is good.

The first room has the ants problem. Then they changed a room for us. It’s very kind. But the second room has a leaking problem in the bathroom.

Unfortunately, you pay 5* prices but don't experience a 5* hotel/facilities. In fact, the pool and 2 of the restaurants were shut the entire time we were there, with the beach only opening properly for 1 day. We were there a week with rainy weather so the hotel shut most of the facilities for 'guest safety' (although arguably an empty pool with no barriers around it, is less safe than a full one in the rain). However even on the days when there was full sun, the pool was still empty and the beach bar still closed. The website and descriptions of certain things are wrong or inconsistent which makes things more confusing to try and find out what is offered and what you have to pay for. Aspects of the room also didn't quite feel like 5* (the canopy on our balcony was broken, TV wasn't usable by english-speakers, no full length mirror even though it stated there would be, not cleaning properly), it's these little things that would be fine elsewhere but if you're paying to stay somewhere that's meant to be 5* it was a bit frustrating. We emailed reception to forward a message to the manager, outlining where things weren't as expected, hoping for a resolution, but we received no response. When we chased up we got a blanket response from the concierge pointing to a clause on the website stating they had the right to shut facilities when they wanted, half of our email left without a response. This was disappointing as we were still paying a certain price to stay there, there was no offer of anything to try rectify the situation. Even a complimentary meal at the restaurant would have gone a long way to try cheer us up.
