Very nice place, plenty of space. Some things were broken that had to be fixed. Great location, great place for a family vacation, plenty of room.

The house itself was ok but the windows and doors were in desperate need of a cleaning. Upon arrival we found the toilet leaking, a hornets nest on the back porch and no battery in one of the smoke alarms so all you heard was beeping. I called Amy and she was very apologetic and sent someone the next morning. After that there were no other issues, Overall we had a nice vacation.

A/C didn’t work on living room floor or top floor. 80+ degrees. It was dirty. Dirty walls. We had to Clorox the kitchen. Open Iced tea container on dinning area table. Drain in common bathroom on bedrooms floor clogged. TV situation poor. Found a maggot in glass. Top floor bathroom shower door broken. Top floor bathroom had hair on the floor and along the outside of shower. Back sliding glass door didn’t lock. Deck has unsecured wood on the steps. Lots of concerns from owner from taking shoes off to remotes getting in proper room. I feel like attention should be on many other things.

Beautiful home and perfect for a family getaway! Clean, comfortable and plenty of room to hang out and have fun. Owners were great communicators and we loved the location. Can’t wait to go back!

Some minor updates needed Very noisy from street traffic Thought it was much closer to the beach, the walk was minimal but long for someone with limited pace and for small children

Property is located in a quiet neighborhood just off main highway and walking distance to the private beach. Great layout of unit with open main living space and large third floor suit. Kitchen well stocked.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pirate Cove. The home was spacious and accommodating for nine of us. We did experience some things around the house breaking during our stay, but the owners were very responsive. Tower Shores community and beach were very nice. Matt’s Fish Camp was super convenient and a must for dinner or carry out one night. The only downside to the location is the proximity to Coastal Hwy. There was a lot of street noise, especially on the weekends, at night.

We all loved the place. Convenient to beach. Clean, spacious,plenty of parking. Would rent again for sure!!!

This was our first time staying at Bethany Beach. We enjoyed our stay and loved how close Pirates Cove was to the private beach. We enjoyed lots of the local restaurants and breweries, a dolphin cruise, a banana boat ride and of course the ocean and boardwalk! Pirates Cove was clean and the kitchen was stocked with the dishes we needed for everyday use. I will mention that Pirates Cove is right on Rt. 1, so there is traffic noise. I read this in other reviews so it wasn’t a surprise to us - we turned the fans on in each bedroom and that seemed to help with the noise at night. Also, we noticed that some of the top or bottom outlets in the bedrooms didn’t work and a couple of the exterior doors could use some paint. All in all, it was a good experience and I would book again. Thanks Amy and Dave for allowing us to enjoy your home for a week!

The house was perfect for our group of 7 ladies and 2 infants. Clean, comfortable, spacious. Easy walk to the beach and we appreciated being able to use the chairs. The owner was very responsive to our questions and we are hoping to make a repeat trip in the future. Perfect weekend getaway.

The property has been very well maintained and we had no issues during our stay. The rooms were large and clean, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking supplies, and having a washer and dryer on site was very convenient. Overall we would recommend this property to anyone and would stay here again.

Great spot and well-appointed house with perfect set-up for a multi-generational family visit. Great access to the beach and a great restaurant. We also loved visiting Fresh Ponds park right up the street. Street noise can be a little loud, so bring your sound machine if you are really sensitive!

Location was great for us because we enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to make a short trip to be in the middle of the action. Beach is quiet and private. Make sure to visit Matt's Fish Camp at least once during your stay. Only downside was street noise, but location and property made up for it.

My standards are high but this property was a disappointment. Mattress covers and bed coverings had blood and food stains and required washing. Washer and dryer needed sand cleaned out of them. Didn't want to sit on the couches due to stains and filth. Propane tank for gas grill was inoperable but was replaced the next day. However, you expect to be able to cook when you pay high prices. Upper balcony had a picket missing which is a safety hazard for children. Several vertical blinds were missing letting in sunlight at sunrise and the rod in one room fell off when we opened the blinds. Outdoor shower filled with debris and placement of hose caused sand to be tracked in the house. Carpet on steps was very dirty. Had to buy a pan for cooking as pans were not in good shape. Spent valuable vacation time cleaning and being frustrated. Owner did send maintenance after contacted but he was over and hour later than we were told. Maintenance did have to clean clogged tub and sink drains. It is a beach house, but this property was very disappointing for the cost.

Strike one: The property is located next to Route 1. Strike two: The beach is unguarded and quite rough Strike three: The decks were small and there was no place to sit outside without being directly across from close neighbors.
