We go on a weekend getaway with or friends every winter. We have usually just stay in a hotel. This year we chose this wonderful place. Everything about our stay was perfect! The host was wonderful to deal with as well as quick to answer any questions. The condo was a game changer for us all. It was great to be able to have morning coffee, cook some great meals, play games and enjoy a beautiful view with close friends. We just can say enough about Magpie’s Nest it had pretty much everything you would need it felt like we were in our own homes. Beautifully decorated and well taken care of. It will be first on our list for next year’s trip. Dugas/Dickie

Best location to walk town center in Canmore. Condo is clean and comfortable. I’d stay here again without hesitation. Great place to spend 2 or more nights when exploring the Banff region.

The property was everything we were looking for. We felt very at home here. Close to coffee shops, grocery/ liquor stores and within walking distance to downtown. We enjoyed grabbing our morning Starbucks and heading across the street straight into the trails. Every morning we awoke to beautiful mountain views. The only complaint I would have is that there was no ac. I will recommend this place to others.

The condo is terrific! Well appointed with everything we needed and very clean. The location is terrific! Easy/short walking distance to town with wonderful restaurants, and easy to get to highway for trips to the mountains & hiking/sightseeing. Grocery store and other stores within steps made it easy to stay there. The owner (Rob) was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Wonderful in location and cleanliness. The only addition would be A/C as I am a hot sleeper. The tan provided helped though. Otherwise, it was perfect.

We absolutely loved our stay in Canmore! The condo/apartment had everything you could possibly need and if you forgot something, no worries! You are close to everything! The espresso machine was an added bonus! My husband and friend love their coffee and they said it was delicious. They condo was extremely clean and had one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in away from home. Canmore is an absolute delight! Excellent restaurants, shops and so much more and you are away from the rat race in downtown Banff. Don’t get me wrong visiting downtown Banff is wonderful but I would not want to deal with it everyday on vacation. This condo has great walking and riding paths surrounding it. There are excellent hikes just a couple of minutes up the road. There were Elk and wildlife all over. One day we went for a walk by the Bow River and there was an elk grazing and drinking right by us. I know people say Magpie’s nest can be noisy from the train, honestly I think I really only heard it once. Do NOT that deter you. The spectacular view of the mountains were breathtaking. A must do hike in my opinion while staying in Canmore is Grassi Lakes, it was absolutely magical. We did quite a few hikes everyday we were there and Banff National Park is only 15 minutes away, Lake Louise was maybe 40 away but the drive is filled with magnificent views you forget how much time has passed. Loved this beautiful condo. Perfect location in Canmore across from a grocery store and Tim’s and just a short walk to Main Street - we even found a little bridge over a creek to get us there. The condo had everything, and beds were very comfortable. So spacious and inviting with huge bathrooms that even included locally made toiletries. It was very nice to have a designated parking spot too. The fireplace was great after a cold rainy hike in Lake Louise, and an added perk was Netflix and ability to watch other streaming services. I highly recommend this condo, it has everything including maps and binders of things to do and how things worked. Would stay here again for sure! The hosts were very easy to work with and communication was exceptional. Probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with accommodations. Thank you!

The location was perfect for a relaxing week in the mountains. The convenience of shopping and areas for walking the dogs more than outweighed the slight inconvenience of the train noise. All of the extras in the kitchen made for a very " at home " experience and the espresso machine was a huge hit.

We had a great week at Robert and Martine's! It was clean, in a convenient location, and plenty spacious for 2 couples. We had a lovely time and hope to return.

This property was just what we needed for a short get away. We will be back but next time for longer!

Cant ask for much more from a last minute booking. They were accommodating for our party of 6 including a dog.

The place was centrally located and convenient for groceries and shopping! We truly enjoyed our stay! Would highly recommend!

First off, this was the best property I have ever stayed at. It was very well stocked and having a full spice rack (maybe add cinnamon) was truly appreciated. It is one of those extras that I have never found at a property before and super appreciated. The beds were comfortable and bedding was incredible. The property was incredibly clean, access instructions were clear and the owner was super responsive to questions. Being able to bring our dog was a bonus as well to allow us to get away as a family. We all truly LOVED the Christmas decorations as well - so appreciated!!! The only downside would be parking - if only one vehicle then no issue but my daughter joined us later and had to park blocks away which in the cold was not ideal. Thank you so muchh for such a wonderful stay!!

The condo was a great home base for exploring everything the Banff area has to offer. It was very close to restaurants and grocery stores . Highly recommended!!!!!!

Very nice stay in a comfortable two bedroom condo with a nice view of the mountains from the balcony. The unit is a few blocks away from the train tracks but we were not bothered by the noise after the first night Landlord was nice, very helpful, and accomodating.

Our stay at Robert and Martine’s condo could NOT have gone better. It was perfect for us. The location was great walking to two groceries store and to downtown Canmore. The view from the balcony was one I won’t forget of the mountains. The condo had everything we needed and was so cleaned!!!! Robert checked on us during the stay to make sure all was good. Easy close parking spot to condo, elevator / stairs to 2nd story and easy entry upon our arrival. We would definitely stay there again.

Clean, modern property with all expected amenities walking distance to downtown Canmore. Banff is a quick drive away and the condo thoughtfully includes a parks pass, allowing you to bypass the potentially significant traffic entering the park without a pass. Robert the owner is extremely responsive and immediately addressed a couple of very minor issues we had during our stay (running out of dish detergent and the like). Look forward to staying here again!

Very nice condo in the heart of town. Convenient, roomy and the Saeco coffee machine is a great perk for you coffee nerds. Very quiet the whole week we were there.

I didn't really understand from the pictures and description quite how in the middle of a shopping area it was. I pictured us across the street from the grocery store. It's across the parking lot on the top floors of a strip mall. This unit is over the liquor store. There was constant traffic in the parking lot at all times which was surprisingly loud. Always people meeting and yelling or laughing, car alarms going off or just being locked, racing engines, etc. It definitely kept us all awake. There is no AC so windows had to be kept open (with no screens!) so there was no break from the noise. If you don't live in the city with constant noise, this'll drive you crazy. (The loudest noises we hear are owls and frogs.) A lot of people commented that they loved the location because it was close enough to walk to most of the restaurants and shops. That's true. It was nice to walk to dinner. You just have to decide which is more important to you: a quiet calm place or able to walk to restaurants. Cleanliness wasn't the best. Just look under anything and you'll see that only surface cleaning was done. We found two foil wrapped dishwasher tabs in the bottom of the dishwasher. That means that cycles were run with no actual detergent and then the dishes put up. No wonder some of the glasses didn't look clean. Someone not very smart set up the washer and dryer. Regular front loader on the bottom but then a regular dryer with top controls set on top of it. Stackables should have bottom unit controls on the top and top unit controls on the bottom. None of us could see the display on the dryer because they were so high up. Even when stepping on a step stool, I still couldn't see the top of the dial. There were some problems with things being messed up: leaking faucets, closet door messed up, drawers crooked or loose, window crank handles that fell off constantly. All things you can live with, just don't get charged with messing them up. I would not stay here again.
