Their staff, people's behavior, the food—everything is terrible. People are not professional and not knowledgeable.

It was family friendly and staff were supoer friendly and courteous. I really enjoyed dinning there and having a couple beers in the bar by the second floor. Super close to the airport which was what I needed. Standards were high enough, I refused going to cheaper places because I needed somewhere safe and clean for my family, and they met my expectations for having spent that extra buck.

Not much to do around, it didnt bother me because all I wanted was a clean and comfortable bed to change flights between days. I had a stroll around, I was back in reception in less than 10 minutes. No biggie.

I stayed at the Ethnotel four different times during my most recent trip to this area of Asia. Because its location is so convenient to the Kolkata Airport, it worked brilliantly as a hub to come back and forth to. The great hotel staff were easy to communicate with, always helpful, and exceptionally kind. A special shoutout to Mr Joy, the hotel driver, who was always able to spot me at the curb for the airport to hotel transfers. Although technically across the street from airport, this isn't anything you'd want to walk since the road is pretty circuitous. You need to arrange a transfer. My rooms were always immaculately clean with strong a/c and good plumbing. Decor wise, yes, the rooms perhaps need to be updated, but the price is right and everything worked. No complaints whatsoever. Room service was good as well as the buffet breakfast in the dining room. I was pleased with everything and everyone here!

Enjoyed the stay. And the room was neat and clean. Staffs were very well behaved.

1. In general it is clean; but it could improve - say in the bathroom door/ floor corners, handles. Towels are in general clean, but still you can understand that some of these were quite old and used for years (some were a bit smelly) - they should change these periodically. Moreover, some of the fixtures are not fixed properly or falling apart.
