- The room was huge. All inclusive. My room had the bathtub. River view was also nice. - The breakfast and dinner were delicious. We can see that they made a lot of effort in detail. - The hotel offers 6 onsen baths (4 inside the hotel; 2 outside which you need to walk down the stairs). - Staff were super friendly.

If you drive a car, the car park may be limited in front of the hotel, but the hotel said they have reserved parking spots. Another thing I may not like is that it was quite a distance to walk to the onsen which was outside the hotel.

property very clean, toilet and shower seperate. staff were friendly and helpful, able to get hotel pick up and drop off to train station (ask tourist information to help you ring hotel) the view is beautiful, can see and hear the river running. not crowded at all, the forest onsen bath was beautiful and our group was able to have it to ourselves for nearly 2 hours the normal open air bath also has pretty view and spacious dinner and breakfast were delicious and quantity was good as well. staff also prepare futons for us to sleep, it was very comfortable a lady staff in kimono sent us off in the morning.

quite a distance to travel, can use trains if you have JR pass, or purchase train tickets using ticket machine still, very worth the travel

Big spacious twin room on top floor facing the river. Good variety of food at kaiseki dinner. Staff throughout hotel were friendly and helpful, special thanks to the lady who served us at dinner.

Bathroom can be cleaner.

The staff tried their best to help us despite language barrier. It happened to have a Chinese speaking staff to translate for us. We can see the trains running below us, including the Yufuin no Mori.

It was absolutely AMAZING🤩The staff was so caring🥰Ask them if you don’t know how to wear your Yukata. Everything was perfect. We went for both of our birthdays with my boyfriend and they even gave us presents🎁while we were at dinner. Speaking of the dinner; It was incredible. The dinner is self would have cost more than the price of the night outside of Amagase. The breakfast was also very rich, very traditional. I think the price is pretty affordable for the quality of service.👍The staff was so good to us. They even got us to the train station the day we left ! The onsens where so relaxing♨️ I highly recommend you to stay at this place. It is the best place that I stayed at in Japan so far and I’ve been here for a month☺️ the futons are surprisingly very comfortable. Even though we took the least expensive room was very big and beautiful. THANK YOU so much ! love💕
