Comparing to other Hotels in Arusha, the Bright Star Hotel is very cheap. The toons have their own toilet and shower. The breakfast is very good and included in the price.. The staff is very helpful and can do anything for you. They can arrange cheap taxis for local prices.. Arusha can be very expensive, but if you go the Bright Star Hotel, then you have made the right decision.

Really pleased we stayed here. Initially worried as it was a few minutes in a taxi from the bus station, but it proved to be a really good move. Staff friendly - Veronica excellent, breakfast good, kids had a little area to play in, great BBQ food place 2 minutes away. Clean, tidy and relaxing - good value for money.

We had an amazing time at Bright Star! The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, especially January the proprietor/manager. the inclusive breakfast was also fantastic and well-balanced. would highly recommend this little gem to anyone spending time in Arusha on a budget! it’s also well situated to restaurants/bars/other places of activity so you won’t be short of places to go out. If you decide to stay in, the dinner menu provides a wonderful selection of local dishes, all freshly prepared and very delicious!

The door to the balcony was closed off despite being advertised as being open for use; however, this wasn’t so bothersome and we should’ve inquired further from the staff.

The 3 staff at the Bright Star Hotel, Esther, January and Witness were all really kind and helpful, they made you feel part of the family immediately. Breakfast was amazing, they will cook you up a delicious and huge plate of food which will keep you going for the day. The hotel is a little out of town but there are family houses all around and I really enjoyed the out of town feel. I highly recommend a stay here!

The water pressure for showering wasn’t great but it was a small issue 🙂

Breakfast was good and was prepared for us at a time we agreed with the hotel. They asked for our food preferences and prepared the meal accordingly.

The wifi was rather erratic and didn't work all the time.

I found the hotel really quiet, but this is a personnal opinion. The hotel and the staff have nothing to do with it.

The hotel is very clean and quiet room. The room was spacious and hotel has a welcoming lobby and dining area. Veronica and staff were super friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. Couldn't have been better.

The mattress was foam, so too warm and sticky for me. Also, there wasn't a table or bed lamp. So it was inconvenient to read in bed, would to get out of bed to turn off the light. Just a small item that could easily be remedied.

A great value. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to help. The breakfasts were big and delicious. Loved how the room had an outdoor terrace. The hotel and grounds were very nice and well managed. The location seems a little tucked away but within about 5 mins your at the main road. Across from it are a couple good restraunts. The food in the hotel is also very good. All the safari operators were familiar with it and could find it easily.

The rooster across from the hotel makes a very good alarm clock..haha

The hotel is great - comfortable, with a spacious balcony, sockets by the bed (not to be taken for granted in Tanzania!), stable hot water with good pressure (also not to be taken for granted! In two other hotels I did not have hot water for the whole stay, which was ten days). Breakfast was very tasty as well. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean, not a single dust, no insects. Outstanding! An exceptional asset of the hotel is people. The personnel is just amazing! Wonderful people. Very flexible, kind, friendly and understanding. The time of my flight would change, but the driver showed up very early, so I did not need to wait outside in the middle of the night. Very willing and ready to help with any circumstances - I checked in early morning, checked out slightly later than I should have, and all the time I was very welcomed. I really enjoyed my stay and could recommend this place to any tourist.

It was a cold night, but the shower was cold water. The staff told us to wait 30 minutes, but it was still cold.

Very good hotel for one night of transfer in Arusha. Veronica is amazing, we arrived late from the airport and had the dinner prepared for us. It really worth it.

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast (and very large), good bedroom with a terrace. Walking distance to the city center. Clean.

Wifi was a bit sketchy but this happened to me at other Arusha B&Bs too.

When I think about Bright Star Hotel, I think about home in Africa... Room is nice, bed is comfortable. Terrace is perfect place to relax, yard enables peace from busy city of Arusha. We had amazing food, and A LOT OF food. There's supermarket in nearby. But the most important to mention are people. Veronica and other staff are very kind, helpful, always there to help. There's no problem for them. Me and my husband felt really comfortable and if we ever come back, we'll choose Bright Star Hotel.
