Location is great for exploring the coastline. Very quiet site, nothing at all on there but we liked that. Some nice views from the site. Felt safe & nice outdoor space. Big enough for 2 adults & 2 kids. Good shower. Owners responded to queries and provided clear info. Best place to eat nearby was The Anchor Inn in Cockwood - a must.
There was a pretty strong (not nice) smell in the main living area which we have fed back. It didn’t ruin our stay but it didn’t make it pleasant. Not the owners fault but we’ve come back with a tonne of washing due to damp clothes etc - there was lots of rain so expected to an extent. It’s an older home which is absolutely fine for us, but it did feel worn and a learn for us personally, maybe just our preference.

Great communication from the owners from the beginning. Always happy to answer questions, and very quick replies.
I stayed here with my partner and two kids. Was an absolutely splendid stay. Nice and quiet( even though I have kids, I tend to venture away from the family based stays, prefer calm!) The site is off the main road, fantastic views, but so so quiet! Was also able to park car outside the home.
Easy to visit locally ie - Teignmouth, Paignton etc, buses and train Within walking distance.
The home had everything we needed! Those extras you always seem to forget.
Was nice and spacious, the beds were comfy.
Coulnt have asked for a better stay, and what great value for money! Thank you to Warren retreat for making our family holiday so special.

Area is beautiful
Property is filthy, full of black mould, awful smell with broken and dangerous items. I contacted the owners and got the sarcastic response I expected. Please read there reviews for this caravan and number 7 as both are owned by the same couple and you will see these issues have been there for a long time and not resolved plus anyone raising these issues just get a rude and sarcastic reply. There are over 300 properties to rent with in 1 mile of this property so do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

This is our third stay at The Warren Retreat and we highly recommend it. The owners are great and communication is excellent. The location of the caravan is fantastic with only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Love that parking is secure right next to the caravan with plenty of space. The caravan has all the essentials you need and it is clean and tidy.

it was in a beautiful, quiet park with a really nice feel to it. Well kept area which we loved! They had it all set up for a holiday to start right away, regardless of weather. A selection of films, music and games for you to enjoy.
We loved the property itself, and appreciate it's a families own home which is let out but I found it odd finding receipts in the bedroom
and eye spray. almost as if it wasn't cleared out after a stay properly.

this was my second stay of the year here, it’s located away from the railway line but close to the beach & away from the other camp sites.

Lovely caravan. It was well equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. It was a nice touch to have games, DVDs and CDs supplied although we didn't have time to make use of them unfortunately.
Although the double bed was very comfortable the single beds are only really suitable for children and are too small for adults. No views unfortunately but a nice quiet site.

Great location for train and buses. Short walk to the beach.
Definitely recommend train to Paignton then the steam train to Kingswear then catch passenger ferry to Dartmouth.
Great places nearby to eat.. The Mount Pleasant, The Anchor at Starcross and The Smugglers for carvery on a Sunday is a must!
We've been very lucky with the weather and had a fantastic 4 night break!!
Very distinct wet dog smell, we do like dogs and accepted the fact that it was dog friendly accommodation. However the smell was quite overpowering

Excellent location for dawlish Warren. Very quiet camp just holiday homes a short walk from beach. caravan was beautiful. Helpful little folder with hints and tips.

Told it didn't have a dvd player , so brought our own only to find it did have a dvd player in the caravan !

Liked everything about the caravan. You have to bring your own bedding but other than that they provide everything else that you could possibly need! Location is fantastic, 10 minute walk to the beach. Sea view from the terrace and some stunning woodland views opposite. Being able to bring the dogs is a bonus!
Nothing we didn't like about the accommodation, it was perfect location and great value for money.

Clean comfortable caravan with everything we needed for a 4 night stay with the dog. A short walk to Dawlish Warren beach and a good location to explore the surrounding area. Good communication with the owners and an enjoyable stay.
A confrontational man banged on our door at 10.30am on Monday morning demanding that check out was at 10am, however, we’d booked and paid for the caravan until Tuesday morning!
I’m glad we took our own duvet as the duvet provided was plastic.

Bed comfy and the shower was good and piping hot.
Sofas could feel springs when sat. Kitchen cupboards melted. No blind next to toilet window in bathroom so had to hang a towel over window or no privacy. Filthy baking trays in oven !
