Beautiful Garden views and sounds, very helpful and friendly hosts speaking excellent English, very good breakfasts, light, modern and spacious home, very clean and quality build. A quiet location. Good security. Close walk to a hillside Buddha temple with great views.

A bit further from town than we expected on a steep hill and busy roads to cross when walking into Kandy. Better to get a tuk tuk in the heat or dark. It would be nice to have tea making facilities in the room and a small fridge.

I wanted to let you know that a very tasteful entrance which led down to the room we had booked. I would like to add this was the last room they had which was a budget room with twin beds. The room was spotless, breakfast was amazing and the staff were very attentive. Wonderful gardens in a quiet location

The bathroom was tiny. I must have looked at a different room when I booked as I thought it was bigger than what it was. A very steep hill that I just wouldn't entertain walking up to get to the accommodation , however, we had our own Tuk-Tuk so it didn't matter to us.

We enjoyed travelling to Windy Ridge by train. It is a beautiful house designed for guests only, next-door to the owners’ home. Guests can come and go because the gate is manned by a friendly security guy. There is a fully-equipped kitchen where guests can make a cup of tea/coffee and store food, if they wish. Our downstairs room was huge, as was the comfortable bed. Our room looked out on a lush and stunning garden. We awoke each morning to the melodious song of tropical birds. Seneka is a very attentive owner; he organised tuk-tuks, taxis and restaurant recommendations. It was he who introduced us to the BEST tuk-tuk driver, Nuwan, who took us everywhere and surprised us with unusual suggestions and attractions, like a cooking class in the home of his friend, Sieta. A generous breakfast was prepared by Seneka’s wife and her helper, both eager to please the guests. Dinner is not provided at Windy Ridge, but Kandy is only a quick tuk-tuk drive away where there are lots of restaurants. If you need a break from curry, try the fun cafe called Soul Food where delicious, vegetarian food is served.

The water was not hot in the shower or bathroom basin. We should have mentioned it sooner as it improved somewhat after we told the owner.

The property is well looked after, the house itself is very clean, the facilities is good but more importantly the staff especially Senaka and his wife are very attentive to your needs. Not to mention the garden which is Immaculate and well kept. Highly recommended. Thank you Windy Ridge.

Immaculate grand house with great views. East tuk tuk down to the main city area and walking distance to places to eat. Our room was very spacious with a lovely balcony, comfortable bed and everything, including the bathroom and exterior living areas of the property are immaculate. We had a lovely breakfast and some good chats with Seneka and met his lovely wife Nilashki. Thank you for having us.

Everything about this stay was great. First of all Senaka, the owner, who went above and beyond to help us where needed. He was such a lovely guy! The beautiful room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too! I would definitely stay here again when in Kandy.

Sehr sauber und sehr gute Ausstattung Zimmer mit Gartenblick ermöglicht es, Vögel zu beobachten Das ganze Haus ist sehr wertig im Bezug auf Matraze, Badezimmer, Wohnzimmerbereich. Die Lage ist für Kandy sehr gut, da nicht weit vom Bahnhof bzw. Zentrum, das Tuk Tuk gibt es für ca. 500 LKR zum Bahnhof. Die Ruhe ist toll, wer den Trubel nicht braucht, ist hier gut aufgehoben Frühstück sehr gut, es kann auch Sri Lankan Breakfast bestellt werden (vorab per WhatsApp) Personal sehr freundlich und nett

The host was knowledgable, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was excelllent, the accommodation was very safe/secure, great views, comfy bed, good mosquito net and air con provided.

It was great to have a spacious room with view to the lovely garden. A hot shower with good water pressure! The hosts are very accommodating and on the second morning I received a Sri Lankan breakfast which I loved. Much better than western breakfast!!!! The hotel is close to the city and just around the corner from the white Buddah. Everything is within walking distance. If you don’t like walking back up the hill there are plenty of Tuktuks in town.

Das gesamte Haus und die Zimmer waren super schön, hochwertig, gepflegt und sauber. Das Frühstück war herausragend. Durch die höhere Lage des Hauses hat man eine tolle Aussicht vom Balkon oder der Sonnenterrasse. Wir wollten am nächsten Tag einen Ausflug machen, auch hier hat man uns einen sehr guten Guide empfohlen und den Kontakt hergestellt.

Our host was always helpful and sociable. He took good care of us and even packed some breakfast when we left early in the morning. The view is gorgeous, squirrels around, colorful birds. Exceptional breakfast.

Clean, beautiful and nice people

Modern house with large bedroom. Good breakfast, with choice of European or Sri Lankan food, that is freshly prepared. Friendly staff. In a better location than many other guest houses in Kandy--just a short tuk tuk ride from the centre of the city.

Breakfast is at 08:30 and is placed on the table even if you have not arrived. Rooms are not serviced during your stay, so you have to be careful to dry your towels and air the bed.

Nice and beautiful house that offers a couple of rooms. The staff were very helpful especially by offering us an earlier breakfast our last day. The room was very big and had good air conditioning. Walking distance to city center, but up the hill a bit so easier to go back up with a tuktuk.

Really Beautiful house in the Kandy mountains with a great Host! The rooms are really big with a great bed and bathromm! The Garden is simply incredible. And the breakfast was really good too!

The house is quite Remote, which definetly has its benefits. Its quite a walk from the city center up there - especially during the Night. And it‘s a bit expensive for Sri Lankan standards, which surely comes from the amazing house!

The room was spacious and beautiful, with a great view to the garden. There was everything we needed (including a kettle for common use in the beeakfast room). It is very peaceful at night. The location is uphill from the city, a bit of a walk or a short tuktuk ride. We did not mind it as the city center is noisy and congested.

Great apartment with AC in a beautiful surrounding of trees. Very good breakfast and the owner was always helpful. We felt very safe and comfortable in this place!
