The staff were wonderful, especially a young man named Anderson. We had breakfast and dinner every day at the property which was tasty and more than enough. It’s in a great location near Arenal volcano and to La Fortuna.
The property was advertised as “fully wheelchair accessible”. This was far from the truth. There are multiple irregular steps to get into the house, the wheelchair did not fit into the bathroom, each room had multiple very heavy beds that made getting in and out of the room difficult, and the pathway to the main facility and dining room was totally incompatible with a wheelchair. If I were not a paraplegic and in a wheelchair I would have loved this very rustic property.

Absolutely gorgeous property! Felt like we were in the jungle. The pool, the natural swimming hole, the trails with toucans..:it was all perfect!
Theres no air conditioning which I didn't realize when I booked but it ended up being a selling point. We felt like we were really getting to experience the jungle. It was cool at night and they had big fans. I got great sleep!

Get up early and sip your coffee on the terrace admiring the majestic volcano Arenal. It won’t take long and the toucans will appear. This place surely has its magic.
Everything was fine. Do not expect any luxury but the style of accommodation perfectly fits with the surrounding nature.

If you are a nature lover and love off the beaten path....this place is a must! If you wish all the luxuries of a resort then skip this one and head to the resorts on West coast of Guanacste. The place is in the middle of the jungle with all the wonders that has to offer. My breakfast was scrumptious (and the fresh juice with fruit grown on the property...WOW!) I imagine dinner would have been scrumptious but opted for a night tour instead which was arranged by William at the property. He also arranged for a Coffee & Chocolate tour during the day with North Fields CR (score 10!). And to complete my stay experience....William led several of us on a property tour that (as my new friend Emma whom I met at the property said) was EPIC! Note: An off road vehicle beneficial to get to this property.
I am not complaining here but for people who read reviews and want to know the pros and cons of places...the shower water was so-so. It worked enough to get me clean but honestly....the rest so outways such minor things.

I cried when I left- that says it all. It was the most magical stay. I loved sitting on the terrace watching the birds, listening to the sounds of nature, even writing this now stirs up so much joy in my heart. We also did the tour with them- this is a must do. We ate dinner at the lodge every night, and the food was great.
We loved it all. There was nothing I would change, it exceeded all expectations. Thank you.

Die Lage im Dschungel war unglaublich , William der Besitzer hat uns mit offenen Armen empfangen und uns viel erklärt. Er bietet auch Touren auf dem Dschungel Grundstück an. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und vielseitig. Morgen konnte man Tucane beobachten.

Nichts
Ekelerregend.
Bitte ziehen sie dort nicht ein!

William and Alan were very accommodating. Our family of 7 enjoyed our jungle stay. (We stayed in the 3 bedroom house.) The kids enjoyed exploring the trails and playing with the friendly resident dogs. We all looked forward to the delicious breakfast William prepared each morning. He even helped us booked excursions for reduced rates. We would definitely stay here again!
Nothing we didn't like.

William was our host and he was excellent at coordinating all activities. He arranged for all of our transport to and from the airport, and the locations of activities as well as the activities themselves such as the hot springs. It was easy to text him and let him know our plans for the day and he would ensure we got to where we wanted and when. Breakfast was nice, massages were good, but the star of the show was William for making this trip effortless. Thank you.

Nothing and refused refund
Staff were rude and lied about other rooms being available. Unsafe and unhygienic due to exposed wires and holes in screens bigger than a snake to get through.

William was wonderful I helping recommending activities. The food they prepared was outstanding!
Our room got a lot of insects at night coming through the screens. Would have liked finer screens to prevent this.

This lodge is in a fantastic location if you like being close to nature, and looking for birds and other wildlife. We saw a lot just from the balcony of the lodge. The manager was helpful with messaging and being there for support if needed.
It would have been helpful to have more modern facilities in the kitchen - pans, crockery etc. Also, would be helpful to have mosquito nets on beds.

Charming central building with more private lodges in the jungle. Cosy little pool next to the river. Very helpful host. Excellent breakfast. High quality restaurant and bar opposite to the lodges.

This was an unexpected gem of a rental! We stayed three nights. There are beautiful hiking trails all over the property. A perfect view of Arenal on a clear day (which we had). We saw Tucans and Parrots from our balcony. The pool was really cold, but unique and surrounded by rain forest. Breakfast and dinner were offered everyday for an additional fee and were delicious. There was hot coffee brewed and available every morning in the dining area. There were communal refrigerators in this area as well and use of dishes and a microwave. It was a bit like a hostel, which we did not really expect but thoroughly enjoyed!
The lighting in the room was really bad. We had to wear headlamps to get into our luggage. Also, the indoor shower was basically an overhead faucet pouring water out in a straight stream. The outdoor shower was great though, so we used that.

Very cool location and wonderful nature
The room itself was missing a few critical things (a) effective fans (since there is no A/C; (b) hooks to hang towels etc; (c) screens for windows (as there is no A/C and we need to keep windows open, but there are obviously bugs in Costa Rica (d) stove didn't work
Just a few investments would have made a huge difference.

Welcoming, courteous, helpful owner and staff. Exceeded our expectations. We spent the morning watching the birds and Arenal volcano from comfortable couches and hammocks. We hiked the trails on the property (bring hiking boots).
Excellent breakfast. Generous portions. Best coffee so far on our trip. A new restaurant opened across the street with excellent food, ambiance, and reasonable prices. Extremely clean and very quiet. Hope to stay here again. Very family friendly.

Everything was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. My room was a private lodge that overlooked the jungle. I had a nice bed, a wonderfully rustic bathroom with a shower, a little comfy couch, a fan, a refrigerator and a balcony with a hammock and two rocking chairs. It was perfect for a solo traveler such as myself. I went to film and photograph reptiles and amphibians and on my first night alone, I found dozens in the nearby jungle. It was magical. The pools were amazing. The first one was beautiful! I found a cluster of frog eggs hanging above it on a leaf and it was amazing watching the tadpoles wiggle in their eggs. If you visit the pool at night you will find dozens of different frogs species, including the iconic red eye tree frog. The other pool was equally amazing and sat next to an crystal clear active river stream you’ll want to swim in as well. If you walk straight, you’ll find refreshing rock wall waterfalls. If you follow the trails you’ll find the big waterfall and it is breathtaking! I decided to have breakfast and dinner most days at the lodge for a small fee. You will not need lunch, the meals are huge. They were all so delicious but I could not finish them. Each meal came with fresh fruit juice and the view while eating in the common area was spectacular. You can see the volcano from the lodge. I can clearly go on and on about this place. If you’re looking to be in nature and have a magical quiet time. This is the place! The owner is so nice and so accommodating. I did not see him much because I was out and about for most of the day searching for wildlife, so every now and then he would contact me and WhatsApp and make sure I was enjoying my stay and did not need anything.
I loved every single thing about the property. The only thing that was a challenge at first was that the pools and waterfall and some other areas to explore were way down hill and getting back up to the lodge took a lot of energy out of me in the heat. But, I’d get in my room and jump in the shower just to cool off for a few seconds and it was lovely!

Amazing property with loads of nature and great view! We really liked the warm and friendly atmosphere. Definitely ask William for the tour around the property (free) - you see at least as much animals and nature as on many of the paid tours nearby!
Really not much to complain about - the facilities are a bit behind on renovations but that's ok given the price.

the property was wonderful, the waterfall was fun spot. makes you feel like you are in the jungle. the dogs in the property were amazing. they went everywhere with us like they were our own private tour guides. the food was good.
the house was dated. the pools were not what we expected so we did not use them. we did a hike on our own, really enjoyed it.

This part of our Costa Rica trip was like a dream. William, the owner of the lodge was eager to help plan excursions and genuinely wanted guests to enjoy their stay. The location had a gorgeous view of the Arenal volcano, sweeping views of a charming lush valley and an abundance of wildlife on the property itself

Our family stayed in the large 3-bedroom cabin, surrounded by jungle, gorgeous tropical plants and mature trees, exotic birds on this remarkable and varied 10-acre property. A neighbour at the cabin next to ours saw a sloth on the ground (!!) just hours before we arrived. It was just a short walk to the main lodge where we enjoyed delicious, generous portions (breakfast & dinner) of typical local cuisine in the dining room looking over the jungle ravine. The adventure tour offered by ecolodge guides was a highlight: Walk along a steep, rough path to a stream, shower under a canyon-enclosed waterfall and splash in its pool, walk along the stream-bed, sometimes up to your chest in (pleasant temperature) fresh water, stop at a stream-fed pool for a therapeutic mud bath, all while bird-watching and delighting in the unique experiences.
No signs from main road; very rough road to ecolodge; our cabin was very rustic (but clean).

William was a great resource. all of the staff were helpful. the breakfast was the best I had in Costa Rica.

I had a wonderful stay. It's a very beautiful place, connected with nature and animals, very close from la Fortuna (you can come and leave with a taxi if you don't have a car). The bungalow i had was perfect, with an amazing view and a hammock to chill. All the staff was very very nice and helped me with everything. Food was so good and made with fresh fruits and veggies from their garden. I would love to come back here!!

The location was amazing- surrounded by nature and all its wonderful sounds. It felt like we living in a rain forest. Very rustic accommodations which added to the overall vibe of an authentic experience. We loved meeting other guests during meals and the food was very good! All the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to all our needs. Even the dogs helped take care of us!
We rented the 3 bedroom house. The beds were not comfortable and there could have been a little more effort put into making the space cozier and more inviting for guests. With that being said, the price was amazing - so it was a good value.

This place is special, set in a large rainforest, with its own river and waterfall and spring fed swimming pool. William the manager serves amazing breakfasts and dinners, and will arrange transport or tours as required. We even had a Slouth appear near the large open plan dining area. Wonderful.
Our particular lodge could benefit from a more comfortable bed. Better signage upon arrival to find William, as no designated reception area.

The ecolodge was out of the busy town in very nice jungle propery with maintained trails.
William was very good about answering all my questions! He was very friendly, knowledgable, and very quick to respond.
The dinner and breakfast were both very good. Excellent coffee too.
The Adventure Tour led by Fran and Jorlan was so much fun. They showed us plants and animals along the way and lead us to the refreshing waterfall and along the stream. The mud bath was also fun. The leaders were cheerful, helpful, and fun to hang out with.
We stayed in the 3 bedroom house. It was fine. Screens and curtains were pretty old and worn out. Holes in screens.

Great place with an amazing view of the volcano. We really enjoyed the walking paths to the waterfall and the (cool) pools. We had nice dinners and breakfast here. Friendly and helpful owner.
