Nice large house with lovely grounds. Comfy beds and hot shower.

Not enough seating in lounge for all visitors. Not enough dining seats for all visitors. Internal steps and steep stairs tricky for elderly visitors. Slippy external stone steps. Quite cold/draughty. Need more attention to detail cleaning. Corners, edges, cobwebs. Needs clearer description in pre booking details to highlight the steps and stairs.

Rather tired fixtures and fitting,and I think it could do with a very deep clean.

It was very cosy and had everything you needed. Beds are comfortable and views and walks are right outside the back door. There is plenty of room and history within the property and there is a sun inn pub 10 minutes drive that serve big portions of food at a very good price which I highly recommend. we will definitely be back.

The stairs are very steep and it hurts if you fall down them as I found out. There is no grill pan which is unfortunate

I appreciate it is a pet friendly property but there was quite a lot of pet hair on the living room carpet.

Lovely for chilling out with friends and nice walking area around. Drove to The Snooty Fox for a lovely meal . The beds were comfy, huge well equipped kitchen. All in all, very good for a group of friends.

It was a little bit cold on arrival, as we had to turn all the radiators on , not a major problem but it would have been nice if it was warm on arrival

Location was perfect. Out of the way on the grounds of an old manor house however close to the reasonably sized town of Keswick and also to a lovely little cafe called Mae's Tearoom and Gallery which we visited each day. House itself was furnished in keeping with the age of the building and included everything we could wish for. It had been cleaned and prepared to an extremely high standard. Had a magical time away for our son's 9th birthday with our cat and dog! Thank you very much!

The stairs were very steep. There were warnings and they were no exaggeration!
