Nice old cottage, comfortable with everything you need. Lovely owners are very helpful and provided a nice stack of welcome goodies. Good location in the village within walking distance of everything. Plenty of good walks and pubs nearby.

The main thing for us was the location as we love to walk in this locality and visit the area every year. Well equipped comfy cottage, lovely owners who looked after us but were not intrusive. Trelleck is a friendly village and enjoyed a pint at the Lion. Such beautiful countryside - we discovered a walk from the door to Trelleck Beacon through ancient woodland.

As others have said, the road is pretty noisy morning and early evening. Also there was no enclosed area for the dog. We weren't too bothered by this as only there three nights - it is a great base if you like the outdoors.

Host was lovely, location was great and there is a pub a short walk away. The building itself had lots of character!

My family weren't happy with the number of spiders in residence!

Fabulous, friendly, approachable hosts. Great location for walking/hiking. Lovely pub in village very short walk away serving great food. Cottage very well equipped. Lovely decor. Clean, good quality bedding, and fluffy clean towels. Comfy beds and pillows. Dog friendly. Clean toilets, sinks, basins, shower, bath etc....all spotlessly clean.

Second bedroom very small, but this was not really an issue for us. Spiders and old webs by tv, above curtain rails, under furniture, down side of washing machine and in radiators. Spiders and webs in the boiler cupboard. Dust in corners of stairs and on skirting boards. Apart from that all very clean and perfectly acceptable. We removed 30+ spiders on our first day, and more throughout our stay. They were mainly pholcidae, commonly known as a "daddy longlegs spiders". There were two big ones. We cut our holiday short by two days and two nights as my son's asthma was irritated there, and I do suffer badly from arachnophobia so staying there proved stressful for me. I guess most people could cope with spiders, especially as most were small, but I cannot. I rarely get them in my own home. I did inform the hosts why we were having to leave early. In fairness I do not suppose you can help having spiders and webs around in an old cottage. We enjoyed some lovely days out with glorious weather.

The location was perfect. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The accomodation was excellent.

There was nothing to dislike.

Comfortable cottage in great location. Countryside is beautiful - so many walks! Trellech is a lovely village with lots of historic interest and a fantastic local pub.

The Pound is a very friendly and cosy cottage; the rooms are decent size and beds are comfy. Previous reviews mentioned the noise from the road, but I want to say that for me it wasn't a problem at all. the hosts are an amiable and helpful couple, and I enjoyed talking to them.

Poor wi-fi and 0 EE telephone reception.
