Very comfortable, clean, safe appealing apartment with own bathroom.

Bed was not comfortable for my 85Kgs body. Thicker mattress would help.

The bedding was a little firm for my liking but this is an issue I’ve encountered in general while staying at Japanese lodging.

I like the room so much! from the neighbourhood, the house, the entrance, kitchen, room, toilet and everything! my 7 years old kid also love this room so much! It was so near with kyoto station and bus stop plus very near to the aeon mall! we walked there almost everyday during our stay! other than that, i really loved when they provide like a lot lot lot of towel inside the room! we can change it anytime we want! the pillow is soft! the bed is so comfy! the room, the toilet, the kitchen is clean and spacious too! i will definitely book here again next time!

The room was located on ground level and was spotlessly clean. The toilet and bathroom were easy to work and there was sufficient space in the bed room. It's about a 15 minute walk to Kyoto station and is also close to other stations. The staff were friendly and helpful. The (shared) kitchen was quite spacious and a good place to sit and eat your own food. The washing machine and dryer were helpful and there was a cute bathroom kit.

The kitchen is actually a shared one. I believe the website implied that you got your own kitchen. Although the kitchen had a stove top there was no knife to cut up food and no condiments (except soy sauce) so it wasn't really possible to cook, only to warm things up in the microwave and boil water for tea/ coffee (if you brought your own. A toaster would also be handy. Having said that, I did enjoy meeting people in the kitchen, quite like being in a hostel. You can hear walking around from the room next door when they make sounds but surprisingly nothing from the pub on the roof! Bed was quite low and very firm.

Everything was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great: 15 minutes from Kyoto Station, wonderful food places nearby, 5 minutes from a convenience store, across the street from Toji Temple and a great bus connection to most other sightseeing spots. The room itself was great too! You have a private bathroom with shower and bath, a private toilet, a water cooker with coffee, a TV and air conditioning. You can also use the laundry machine for free (drying costs extra). There is a shared kitchen with all amenities you would need (although I didn't use it). It's a peaceful place to stay and amazing alone or together. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kamon Inn to anyone visiting Kyoto! ☺️

Great location, right next to Toji Temple at about 15 minutes from Kyoto Station. This is a very small inn, with only three rooms and a shared common kitchen/dining area, but private bathrooms. Staff is very nice and helpful, though only at the property during very limited times (very responsive through the booking.com messages, so no issue).

This is a very minor thing, but the outside door needs to be opened with a key code and when you get back in the evening and it's dark, the key pad is a bit hard to see, so it's easy to mess up the code.

マスターに部屋を開けてもらい、たすけてもらい、地獄から生き返る思いでした。大変御世話になりました。感謝申し上げます。早朝奈良行きの電車に乗るため部屋に、うっかり玄関と部屋の暗証番号が書かれた携帯を忘れました。忘れたものの、家内の携帯には同じデータがあるから、カモンイン東寺に戻って画面を見れば絶対部屋に入れると安心し寺巡りを続けました。暗くなって玄関の前まで来ると、家内の携帯の電池容量が1、2%で暗証番号を探している途中でシャットダウン。地獄に入りました。となりのお店のマスターに事情を話し、マスターに連絡取ってもらい、番号をメモ書き頂きこの世に生還できました。となりにお店がなかったら、店あっても店長がマスターの携帯知らなかったら等々、さまざま想像すると本当に「救われた気持ち」になりました。マスターありがとう。
