部屋の中に2部屋分かれて広いけど、その間の戸が襖なしの戸で小さい子が簡単に開け閉め出来て 手を挟みそうで怖かった。

The hospitality

This hotel was very clean and the facilities well maintained (and aesthetically pleasing!) I really appreciated the extra space, the bonus tatami mat area and futons made it very easy to travel with a child and have a sleep space for them. Access to kitchen supplies also allows for some cost savings if you want to prep your own food (plus cafes don't open very early in Japan!) It is very clear the owner takes great pride in their space and guests. We found everyone friendly and helpful. We also did laundry, which was very nice and helpful. The location is very convenient to kyoto station (not walking to sightseeing, but given how we came in and left and that we wanted to sightsee in different neighborhoods, being close to the station was great for us).

It does feel a bit like a family friendly/adult friendly hostel, which is totally fine given the cost savings in comparison to other hotels in Kyoto. I don't mean that it was loud or party atmosphere at all, just that I didn't realize there wasn't any service to rooms during your stay and some things felt catered to a more basic, cost savings set up. The front desk hours felt somewhat limited and we actually rarely saw others in the hotel (staff or other guests). We also maybe should have clarified this at booking or when we checked in but our room was the king room and the only one that is on the main floor. This was a really big negative for us. Being on the ground floor always feels a bit uncomfortable, and one of the windows opened to the street with no privacy screen other than the blackout blind. I don't feel comfortable opening a window that opens to a street like that but also really dislike having no natural light in a room during the day and unfortunately that was the situation. Blurring the windows or having a privacy screen that allows light in would very much be helpful. Also, I'm not sure if it was stated on the booking that it was ground floor, but if I had known we definitely would have chosen a different room. Because we got in around 8pm and the staff shortly left and weren't there in the morning when we left for the day (about 8:30 am), it didn't seem worth trying to figure out how to move rooms but it was definitely a damper on our stay.

This property was close to the train station, clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Convenient shops nearby, yummy food nearby and delicious food next door.

廊下が外なので、冬だと寒いかもしれない。子供用のパジャマが無かったこと。

Perfect Location, close to the Train station. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. The rooftop is perfect for taking pictures.

Our first stay was amazing. We were excited to return again! Great place. Definitely consider this place if traveling with a family or a group. Lots of space and convenient facilities.

Very friendly and accommodating staff and owner! Responded quickly via phone/email. Clean, convenient, and cost-effective! Rooms were very modern and spacious for 4 people. Facilities were nice. Washer and dryer were easy to use and ran well. The rooftop area was relaxing.

Nothing! The reception desk isn't staffed 24/7, but they do a good job to accommodate late check ins. Just call or email if you think you will be arriving late. There is also an emergency number outside, so no worries. :)

Good sized room, very cold fridge, nice bathroom, cool lobby with a singing microwave, coin laundry, very helpful staff! The yakiniku across the street is INSANELY GOOD, Lawson a block away, 5 min walk to Kyoto station.

It’s not in the absolute center of it all (a quick train ride away) but if it was it wouldn’t have been this price! Great value for what you’re getting

The staff was so kind and courtesious. They help arranged our restaurant reservations, for a big group was not a small task.

Location of places we wanted to visit was more than 15mins travel time .

The environment of hotel was relax and comfortable, staff was friendly and prefect in location which was near Kyoto railway station, also specially good for 3 or more people or family to stay

The property gives you a modern feel where the hotel basically running on its own. Very comfortable and spacious room with all 6 staying together.

Room was large and comfortable enough for a family of 5. Location was just a few mins walk from Kyoto Station. Convenience shops nearby and a few restaurants as well. Friendly staff!

Overall the hotel is very impressive although it is not very big. Room is spacious, clean and organised in a very smart way. It really made me feel like a home away from home. The owner was there when we arrived. He is not only very helpful with information about the hotel but also about the city; you can see how much he cares about his property and customers. I would like to come back again.
