A Bach in the heart of Oakura Village
Vicino alla bellissima spiaggia di Oakura con belle viste sul mare a soli 5 minuti a piedi.
I negozi locali e l'ottimo pub sono a soli 2 minuti a piedi.
Oakura è una delle migliori destinazioni per le vacanze estive. Con una bellissima spiaggia, ottimi spot per il surf, campi da gioco per bambini, negozi locali e campi da tennis a portata di mano, cosa si può desiderare di più. Questo piccolo villaggio ha molto da offrire. La casa è esposta a nord-ovest, quindi si ottiene un sacco di sole dalla mattina alla sera e una bella vista sul mare.
Ci sono alcuni bellissimi percorsi a piedi in giro e solo 10 minuti in auto da New Plymouth per sfruttare al massimo il Coastal Walkway, il Parco Pukekura e lo Zoo di Brooklands. Sempre a Pukekura Park c'è il Festival of Lights che offre uno spettacolo di luci e intrattenimento quasi tutte le sere a Pukekura Park da metà dicembre a fine gennaio, tutto gratis. Questo è uno spettacolo da non perdere.

We loved our stay in the Bach in Oakura. Howie was very responsive and helpful. The house had everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable. The backyard was spacious and well fenced and we loved the deck. We walked into Oakura using the walkway at the end of the street.

Howie's place is lovely, clean well equipped with new kitchen and bathroom and large fenced garden which was wonderful for our dog. Really relaxing would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

Tidy, clean and well presented 2 bedroom house on large, private rear section. Open plan dining and lounge opens onto well furnished deck. Easy walk to shops, cafe and pub and approx' 500m to beach. House was perfect in providing easy access to the beach for swims and walks, yet only 15 minutes from central New Plymouth.

Great property, loved our stay. Well supplied and furnished. You do need to drive to the beach if you have a surf board or lots of stuff. You can walk to the pub and restaurants. Would happily stay again!

Lovely house beautiful bathroom very comfortable beds very peaceful and quiet and in a perfect location for restaurants, shops and beach. Howie says he is installing a new kitchen by next year which will make it complete. Howie is a very kind helpful host. Thank you for sharing your home with us and our happy dogs. We had a great time staying at Howie's place - large fully fenced yard was good for the dog, and plenty of space to relax inside and outside on the spacious deck. Nice 10 min walk to the beach through the forest too. Our second time staying there, and we'll be keen to stay again in future

Awesome Oakura Property
Property was perfectly located for strolling distance to shops and down to the beach. We had our dog with us and it was the perfect sized flat enclosee yard for him. Inside the house is pleasant and very comfortable. Howie was the perfect host. 10/10, will be back for another stay!

Great location, comfortable house with all we needed
Relaxed comfortable property with everything we needed, situated 10 minutes walk from the beach, 600 steps away from good restaurants and cafes, and a 10 minute drive to the big city to see the sights and enjoy the Festival of Lights. Ideal really!

Relaxing stay for small family
This was the second time we have stayed at Howie's place. We really enjoy both the house, and Oakura generally. The house is especially good if you want to travel with your dog, and / or a young child as it is a nice large fully fenced section, and Howie is really good with allowing pets inside, which is rare for rental beaches. The house is also very well equipped and very comfortable. The location is very handy to Oakura Village, and the beach via a nice ten minute walk through a lovely Bush reserve. Unfornately the house has recently lost its view of the sea, and some of its privacy, due to a brand new apartment building in front of it, but the view was never the drawcard anyway.

A great spot
Definitely a home away from home and so nice to be away from town, although New Plymouth is only 10 mins away. Really peaceful and secure for the doggies, a really well equipped kitchen (although believe it or not it’s the one time we needed a corkscrew and couldn’t find one, ha!) and the most comfortable bed. Howie was an excellent host, so keen to make sure we had everything we needed and great communication . Would highly recommend Oakura Bach.

Just Ok
A very basic Bach. Very comfortable beds but it could have been cleaner and the lawns weren’t even mown.
It now over looks a construction site and will in no time at all be built out which will affect sun etc.

Fantastic bach
Howard's bach was perfect for us all and the dog! Close to Oakura shops and short walk down to the beach. It was clean, good kitchen, great garden and outdoor furniture. Loved the stereo too. We'd love to visit again one day soon.

Comfortable spacious Bach in the heart of Oakura
Rustic appearance with a large section. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and plenty of wood for heating. Ideal summer or winter to spread out and also make the most of the great location near the beach and 10 mins drive into New Plymouth. Howie, the owner was very helpful in providing details for check in. We’d definitely stay there again.
