This is my 4th visit to Castro Marim Golf and Country Club and that is only because of COVID otherwise it would have been more. My husband and I discovered it by accident in May 2017 whilst looking for cheaper and less busy courses in the Algarve. We always enjoy the course even though it is a little challenging.

I think the Villas could do with a little TLC after our last visit in December and the bath towels could be replaced but that would not deter me from visiting over and over again.

We loved the quiet location and private entrance and personal parking space. The whole Villa was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was well equipped and spotless. It was a comfortable bed. The furniture was of good quality. Dog friendly and without additional charges. The was excellent Wi-Fi signal throughout accommodation.

The water pressure & water temperature in kitchen was very poor (but it was fine in the upstairs bathroom). Unfortunately we had a problem with the air conditioning units, which doubled as heating. The resort tried to fix it but it was a serious problem and they immediately offered us alternative accommodation which was very nice of them.

Castro Marim was absolutely beautiful. The house was excellent. There was brilliant and secure parking for our car and trailer. The pool area was great with a bar which also served food if required. We absolutely loved the place and would like to return.

There was nothing we didn’t like about Castro Marim. We loved it.

Everything was first class. The house was spacious with furniture and fittings outstanding. Pool was 2 minutes away affording us a pleasant swim.

Could not be better.

Great location for our journey on to Seville. Very close to Altura as well. Staff very helpful

Lovely villas, helpful staff and great place that accepts dogs willingly.

Perhaps could have had a more kept garden , it all needed a little care outside .

Villa was really nice but the disappointing thing was the furniture that was not very comfortable. Staff were super helpful

The accommodation and house keeping service were very good. Our location was excellent with good views from a private back garden.

Our main complaint was the that the broadband was down for a cumulative total of 6 out of our 14 days stay. The front desk seemed to have no idea when it would be restored.

Clubhouse at golf club closed at 19.00pm Had to drive to go out for meal Our accommodation 414 strong smell of smoke throughout so changed to 431..staff were very cooperative however if there was not another option I wouldn't have Stayed..

Accommodation is very reasonably priced and is comfortable and quiet

The villas are perfect for a quite holiday. Big enough for a small family or an extended one. It had all the equipment we needed. Facilities are good, with a pool and gym. Although a bit far from the beach, it's on top of a hill, so we could see a nice view and get some wind during the hot weather.

You cannot grill, due to the fire hazard in the area. The Wi-fi was non-existent inside the house and low in the garden. Only in the shared pool we had some good wi-fi reception.

We loved the facility, but mostly the service! People are extremely friendly and nice, will help you with anything you would request, do the best that they can. Houses are big, plenty of space for everyone, terrace, big kitchen!

The house was a little bit old style, but we really didn’t mind at all. Everything was perfect!

The location - isolated enough (a must for rest) but close enough to the village and beach. The amazing smell of the pine trees. Pure serenity! The vila structure - isolated villas are outsanding for sound proof when it comes to neighbours. Two parking spots for a 4 people villa. A porch for meals The villa facilities - well equiped (had to ask for a bread basket and kitchen board) but all the rest was there and quite well maintained. Great wifi, also, as voice network coverage did not work sometimes and I loved it! The staff - did not see a lot of them but the pool bar and check out reception guys were very nice and helpful

The pool seems to be short for the complex. Short in the sense that there are little sun beds (that need a small matress) for all the guests and as the long weekend arrived, one could not lie down on the pool area (and covid does not seem to be the reason though it may have worsen it) Some bath towels had big dark stains - I believe they were washed but did not look very clean

Just great, but better to have a car to get there and drive around.

Private access, private parking, private pool, no need to interact with anyone. Lots of space for kids to play. Very fast internet.

It was a bit pricey, but you can’t have everything
