The location, friendliness of owner, quietness of the location, and the breakfast were all exceptional and better than I had expected. The owner gave us good advice as to what to see and where to go, and even when departing and we told him where to we were heading, he recommended a restaurant to us which we visited and were super please with.

Jim and his wife are so kind. Let us check in early and provided great service, food was great. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience. Lovely owners who really care for their bnb and their guests. The best part: the breakfast. The continental breakfast was exceptionally good and the owners paid a lot of attention to the sustainability of the provided foods- local salmon, cheeses and even home made ham. Great fruit salad and great response to the requirement of glutenfree breakfast. This really made my day !

The property was in a lovely location with easy walking access into the town. It was very clean and well maintained.

the man that met us on arrival seemed extremely hostile to have young people staying then accused us of having someone else in the room when we were leaving which was absolutely not the case.

Breakfast included special yogurt and locally cured ham. Great breads. Meeting Nancy at breakfast was special. As we were leaving, she came out to join Jim in wishing us well as we continued our journey across Ireland. Also enjoyed learning about the success of the family business, Woodfit Acoustics, now run by two Denby sons. The woodwork in the house is beautiful.

Jim was so helpful- such a wonderful host.

We visited by bicycle, Jim was a fantastic host and the facilties were second to none with a secure place to leave our bikes and a dry room to dry some of our gear that had gotten wet. We had gorgeous bakewell pastries waiting in our room on arrival and the shower in the room was huge with fantastic pressure.

The decor and style of the house was gorgeous, our room no.1 was very big the bed was very comfortable, excellent bathroom facilities overall a perfect room for 1 night in athlone.
It is advertised as a B + B but there is no breakfast included but we did know this prior to arrival.
