Very convenient location with easy access to bus if you want it. Breakfast was awesome with a very nice selection, prepared fresh to order. Marie is an absolute delight - attentive, helpful and caring. Just a wonderful stay.

A friendly welcome into a quite extensive B&B. The bed was very comfy. The decor tastefully done. Everything very clean. The breakfast room was very smart with linen table cloths. All nicely set up and very welcoming. Breakfast choices were excellent and delicious. Easy to park on the driveway outside the house.

The carpet in my room was a tad tired whereas everything else was sparkling, looked new and was tastefully done. Only a minor point. The grouting in the shower cubicle could do with a freshen up. Again a minor detail but when everything else is 100% these little things do then catch your attention! But really a superb B&B with a friendly hostess at the helm! Book you’ll not be disappointed!

A well-appointed room (with Netflix), clean and tidy. Heavy block out curtains which are needed in the Irish summer. Bathroom is adequate. Bus at the door (Woodhaven stop) for a 5 stop ride to The Huntsman Inn for dinner & drinks. Bus for return is a bit confusing with none of the 3 bus numbers appearing to stop near Almara, so my wife & I (70 & 64), walked, only 25 mins which was fine. Marie is a lovely lady and so accommodating. Breakfast, freshly made, was very nice. Tea & coffee facilities in the common area outside bedrooms. Free on site parking & wifi.

Our entire stay was wonderful, from the moment we arrived. Marie is so thoughtful and cannot do enough for you. I would highly recommend staying at Almara house.

Mari was wonderful. The location was great for visiting Galway - bus stop right outside the property and easy to use. Breakfast was delicious! Mari is a warm and welcoming host.

The corner stall shower in our room was very small - difficult to maneuver.

The breakfast, friendliness of staff, host went above and beyond to offer advice and store our luggage when asked. She also let us check in early, because we arrived early. Had a great time, and would visit again if I was in Galway.

The rooms were not that soundproof, we could hear other guests in the middle of the night.

The room was comfortable, there was a tea and coffee making station right outside the room which was nice because I love my cup of tea 😊. The place was clean, it smelled lovely, there was a lot of attention to detail, all and all a great stay and I would recommend it

Very clean, spotless hotel quality rooms. Excellent breakfast. Professional and friendly housekeeping and check in.

3km from city centre (I was aware of this in advance) , but quick and regular bus to city centre until midnight. Bus stop is 30 seconds from property. A taxi later will cost 15 euros +.

The setting, the kind host, attention to detail, the eggs and bacon!
