Perfect location - 20m from the beach, great breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, possibility of bike rental

In many ways this hotel is wonderfully located, just a minute's walk from the beach. The balcony looks out to the sea (albeit slightly obscured by buildings) and the main road through town is easy enough to reach. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were kind and accommodating to our need for a slightly late check-out after a morning of whale watching. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

Although it is no fault of the hotel itself, it would be remiss not to mention the extremely poor night's sleep we had due to the property's proximity to a nearby beach club. If you go here hoping for a quiet and relaxing stay, which the location suggests, you could be in for an unpleasant surprise if there is a party on! I am hardly a light sleeper, but the sheer volume of the music and the intensity of the bass made it impossible to sleep even with ear plugs until it finally subsided at 2am. This was likely not helped by the fact that the bathroom window was broken, making it impossible to fully close. Ultimately, we were relieved that we were only spending one night in Mirissa, which is a shame because the hotel is otherwise very charming.

Very close to the beach but not too close to the the parties. Comfy bed and aircon. Nice host.

Everything was great, very close to the beach, owner can rent bike for u, also they have tuk tuk, room with balcony is good because u can open all doors and it will be very fresh inside room, breakfast good

The only thing if u want to sleep in silence keep in mind there is beach party at weekend so u can hear music. But if u party person it's ok :)

The hotel is near the nightlife but that's the same for nearly all the hotels on the beach. It was a bit noisy but not impossible to sleep.

At night it gets quite loud because somehow the noise of the party locations (even though they are not that close) is transported to the rooms. if you have a light sleep bring some Oropax than it should be fine.

I choose to stay in Mirissa for 3 nights to go whalewatching which was well worth it as we saw a blue whale, hundreds of spinner dolphins & two turtles. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a partial ocean view. Appreciated having a fridge & kettle. Wifi worked well. Breakfasts were tasty & served in the pretty garden. Damid & his family were all very helpful & friendly. Thank you.

I knew Mirissa has a reputation of being a party place but the first night there was a very loud all night party in one of the beach restaurants. I put my earplugs in & fan on full blast but I could still here the noise! The second night was OK. The third night there was another beach party but a bit further away & didn't go on all night.

We loved the airy room, sea breeze, located at edge of Mirissa Beach. Good breakfast, nice family stay.

Depending on where the wind comes from you hear the nearby or remote Disco sound till late night.

Friendly personel, no problem with doing laundry or very early ( 6 a.m) breakfast to go. Big breakfasts with lot of fruits.

Place is near the beach club so you have to be prepared for loud music (sometimes for 2 a.m). However, there is 2 minute walk to the beach.

every night booming music til 2.30-6am from nearby bar. not even earplugs can quieten it. if you party til am then you’ll love it, if you like some sleep to surf in morning, this isn’t it. not hotel fault but painful

The breakfast was really good with amazing pancakes, fruits and vegetables. Good juice and good coffee. We really like it. The host found us quickly a scooter and it was really helpful.

The location is great, although it is not directly at the beach. No immediate view or meals on the beach. But awesome breakfast and a lovely garden and very friendly staff.

Not much; just we expected the accommodation to be directly on the beach.

Damith and his contagious laugh made us feel welcome from the start. The view from the room was great and the room was a decent size with a comfy bed and really clean bathroom. Breakfast each morning was more than we could eat.

Noisy at night. Because you could hear the music and kinda feel the beats of the beachbars up until the morning.

Located at the end of the bay, only a 10 minute walk to the harbour for whale watching tours. Directly at the beach with bars and restaurants. Super friendly host, I got to check in early and check out late at no extra charge!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything you needed, including aircon and a generator.

The downside to our stay here was the noise from the beach bars which was loud in our room. We stayed over New Year celebrations which meant there were even more parties and music to the early hours.

Convenient location, good facilities, friendly host.

Unfortunately you can hear the parties on the beach, the noise went on all through the night without stopping, but I'm not sure if there's anywhere in Mirissa where you're away from the noise.
