Bathroom stinks...and the water is pathetic.Road to property is the worst.Had a terrible experience from one of the drunkard native.

The king room with balcony has a beautiful view of one of the backwater channels - sunsets and boats passing through do not disappoint. Breakfast is nice. Manager seems to be a good person but two of the front line staff are untrustworthy and can be manipulative and sly.

The hotel is about 30 minutes from downtown so figure on spending $15. round trip if you want to go anywhere. Bathroom is very basic with a foul smell most likely from sewer backup? Litter scattered under and around balcony. Power went out at 1:30 am the first evening and not restored until 3:30 pm the next day - without a fan or AC rooms are very warm. Additionally there is an animal that nests on roof over room and makes a lot of noise in late evening and early morning along with broadcasted chants from nearby temple that start at about 4 am making sleep impossible. Most of the staff are pleasant except, unfortunately, a young woman and man who are front line impressions at reception - I couldn't figure out if they were dishonest, unreliable or just not service oriented. The woman promised to look into a few things for me regarding tours which she never acted on. The backwater cruise offered from hotel cost twice as much as those offered from downtown which are far superior to this cruise - after discussing at length a more reasonable price with her and the side kick she called for reinforcement, I was somewhat bewildered when she tried to charge an additional 800 rupees for the ride at check out. At this point, I asked to have a manager who was able to resolve overcharging issues. ( this was not the only one but I'm limited to a specific word count ) Alcohol is not available so I asked if I could get a ride into town to purchase which she said she would arrange by 4pm - I arrived at appointed hour and was told by her and sidekick that it now might be 5:30 pm ( "might be" operative term for not goin' to happen) I insisted on their calling a tuk tuk driver who arrived in 15 minutes. There are many other examples of deceptive communication but in short, they over promise and under deliver. WiFi is abysmal!!!! Felt liberated when I left.

Really enjoyed the massage was very good . They baked on demand for us .the staff were very friendly .over all we loved our stay . I do think the place could do with a paint

Un professional receptionists ,broken wash room.

The hotels location is just breath taking. For Kids they have a nice playground and a boardgame room (chess, carrom, etc.), a basketballcourt, Badminton, and you can use the hotels own paddleboat. In the evening they take u on a sunset boat cruise for free. I would go there again

The rooms could be more up to date ( old furnitures) and the bathrooms fittings need a syphon (sometimes bad smell). The food is ok but nothing to exiting, exept the breakfast Buffet is great

The views were incredible, the staff were lovely and the pool was spectacular at sunset.

We liked the hospitality and service but the staff looked a bit confused of handling the customer queries. The property needs to maintain the approachability and front view. However a good service and food.

The reception staff looked confused most of the time and they are not empowered and trained to handle the customers. Else the kitchen staff, cleaners and rest were cordial and good.

The room was very unfit to stay in, it smelt badly of mould and damp, the shower had black mould on the walls and ceiling, the bathroom did not have a shower curtain, we had to shower ourselves with cold water, the shower was loose and damaged. The curtains in the room were dirty and covered in thick dust, there was no safe box, the wall lamp had dead insects inside . There was no wi-fi connection in the room. It is almost like the room was not used and cleaned for a very very long time. We were asked to order our dinner 45 minutes before our arrival for dinner. They only had one starter out of of the two we previously ordered, they served us burnt samosas. They stressed us non stop for 50% of the upfront payment weeks before our arrival and even upon check-in. The room was extremely expensive for what it was (INR10500/£112).Thank god we only had to stay there for one night. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed.This hotel is very remote and very very difficult to access as well. Please stay away from this place at any cost. This is a complete rip off.

The resort is calm and quiet and very remote with Lake around. Indoor and outdoor activities available. Swimming pool is on smaller side but water was good.

The road to the resort is like a roller coaster. Pool table or Table tennis could have as part of indoor activities.

The property is just amazing with awesome scenic beauty. The view to the lake is really heart filling and the ambience is great.

The route to the place was horrible. Too narrow and bumpy road. No proper board markings to find the place.

Liked the reception staff but the management wasn't friendly or considerate at all. In fact, you could call them rude. Food took forever to be served. Overpriced as we booked through Booking.com...same rooms were available for way cheaper on other websites or even directly, as the people at the desk told us (verified later). Also, there was no mention about meal plan on Booking.com and we were shocked to know that we had to pay another couple of thousands for dinner and breakfast on top of the extra that we had to pay for the rooms. Felt cheated. The manager was least supportive. The place was great but what could have been the high point of our Kerala trip became a sour memory because of the crass talk of the manager over the phone. Would recommend this place purely for its backwater beauty. But need to do our homework and research well before booking.
