warm, modern, comfortable and great breakfast

I stayed at The Thorpe for over 6 weeks in "The Doghouse".  This space is essentially self-catered (sans laundry service).  The room was perfect, with a good sized bathroom, functional kitchenette area, comfortable bedroom, and direct access to the back garden. While the facilities were more than adequate,  the real highlight of my stay was the friendliness and kindness of Stuart and Niki.  They regularly went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable.  Regular cooked breakfast was a highlight of my day during the stay, and I'd stongly recommend this accommodation if you are looking for lodging (long or short) in the Hemmingford Grey area.

Rooms were spacious and self contained so more like a hotel but with the personal touch of a guesthouse at breakfast.

Lovely place to stay for a party we attended at Hemmingford Pavilion, friendly owners and everything we needed for a night and more.

We stayed in Room 4 affectionately called The Dog House and it was perfect. Everything you could possibly want, wish for or imagine. The hosts were super helpful and friendly but not too pushy in any way. The bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast was freshly cooked with calm precision and a nice chat. Can’t wait to return which we definitely will!

Lovely hosts...spotless room and lovely breakfast

Everything! We were greeted very warmly by Nicky. Our room was great, very comfortable and clean.the guesthouse was very well kept, it appeared to be almost new, everything was light and bright. Breakfast was very good.

There was nothing to dislike about the property! Should we be in the area again we would stay there and would recommend it to everyone.
