Rien.

Location is amazing and the individual huts are quite nice.
I got a bit lost every time I tried to go back to my cabin (especially in the dark) so would have liked more signage. The food offered on site was good but didn’t vary over the days. It would have been nice to see some simple fish dishes as well. As a single traveller I was a bit lonely as staff were not really interested in any conversation beyond the basics and at mealtimes there was no communal seating to encourage socialising.

The location was amazing, such a beautiful little bay with opportunities to go on tours, snorkel and kayak, visit other restaurants and go for long walks along the beaches and forest. Very peaceful and tranquil. The restaurant on site was lovely for dinner.
The accommodation was comfortable but furnishing a little tired. The breakfast was very basic and some of the staff seemed a little sad and tired too.

Unbeatable location!
The private beach was something out of a movie set…
The food was average and overpriced. This seems to be common amongst all resorts and hotels.

Staff customer service at reception was outstanding. Location was beautiful by the beach
Food was horrendously overpriced for quality. Staff spoke limited English in restaurant and didn’t understand food allergies

Everything! It was just perfect from the moment we arrived.

Beautiful resort
Bed so comfortable
Awesome staff
Really appreciate the free kayak and snorkelling
The main issue for us was the snack bar closed at 5pm and the restaurant only open at 7pm - so for our young families- came back from activities with all food closed and no food to feed the kids - it was quite a concern.
The snack menu could be a bit bigger too and unfortunately our first night in the restaurant the service and food was not good - but last night was great.
Also maybe an extra person in the bar from 4 to 7 could help - she was awesome but taking orders, making cocktails and serving was a lot for one person.
But we love the place and will come back

Location fantastic, and breakfast, when supplies were available also good, but sometimes had run out of fruit or no fruit, yogurt.
Sometimes meals or wine on menu not available. Some systems were lacking. No milk in the bungalows to make coffee. Staff need a bit more support and help.

There s no atmosphere in this hotel, no details, a minimum service. It could be a beautiful place but it looks abandoned. Cats jumping on the tables and stealing the food ... I love animals but I dont want them on my plate!

Clean rooms....Could be so much more. Gorgeous location......
Food was average. Staff dismissive at best. Super expensive on aud $....150aud for dinner for 2, no vegetarian options, super $at the bar. Just a money pit. Lunch menu was horrible. Supposedly 'snack '.menu in the arvo....I saw one woman ask and she was shown a packet of crisps. Breakfast at 7 , dinner didn't start until 7pm . Try the other local options. Could be a winner in lovely location, but getting the service and options all wrong. Also, can't drink the local water only one litre of water per room, per day..meaning in this humidity you have to buy it from the hotel... at about $10 AUD a litre....the beach fare is barely staffed. I could go on...Just expect so much more for so much money...the location doesn't make up for it.

This hotel has one of the best locations on the island: you'll enjoy a very calm and warm bay with a gorgeous live reef. Plenty of fish, corals and other underwater life. Kayaking and snorkeling will be your daily routine and you'll always be keen for more.
The hotel's restaurant provides delicious dinner, with lots of options considering you're staying on a rather small island where nearly everything needs to be delivered by boat.
Bungalows are pretty comfortable (there are even bathtubs there), very clean and the bed was great.
First, this hotel is critically understaffed. There's very little point in running a bar or a kayak hire shop if you can't have them manned most of the time. There's very little point in having a good kitchen for a restaurant if there's no staff to wait tables.
Second, most of the staff doesn't seem to want to work there at all. Ignoring customers and forgetting orders was just normal.
Third, prepare for a serious language barrier. This is pretty characteristic for all New Caledonia though. Australians and Japanese (also mostly English-speaking) together make more than half of the tourist crowd here for more than 30 years already, yet the hospitality sector practically doesn't speak English.
Fourth, don't buy Upi bay tour, no matter how heavily promoted on reception. In the end of a short sailboat ride, you'll be dumped in a knee deep sandy sludge smelling strongly of rotten eggs, facing a 45 min forest walk without any means to clean your feet and shoes. I can swear I heard our "guides" laughing sailing away from us.
Fifth, stray dogs and cats are quite a problem there.
P.S. and for a goodbye, there was at least one expensive bar drink in my final bill that I don't remember ordering.

Location: Kanumera breach as its backyard and a beach walk away from Kuto beach
Service: all staff are so helpful, always service with a smile especially Beatrice at the front desk.

Air con made annoying noises all night and really hard bed

We loves the warmness from the staff, the service and the facilities.
Everything was an experience from the reception to the room and at the restaurant.
We have loved our stay at this hotel.

- great location - Kuto bay is fantastic
- staff was nice and helpful
- bungalows are quite spacious and tidy
- the price for night is outrageously high and not worth the overall experience
- hotel is 4 stars. but feels like 3 at most. The standard is not great. Bungalows are ok but some renovation and update would be nice. No beach towels available. Limited attractions available (no cards, no board games, no paddle boards, although mentioned as available by hotel staff)
- meals at restaurant are very expensive and the quality is average. Half of my meat dish was raw. Staff was trying to charge us on two separate situations for something we didn't order
- hotel is able to organise a trips on the island, but by 'organisation' they mean only a driver taking you to a specific spot. No explanation of what to do, where to go, no recommendations, no warnings. Driver spoke only in french even though most tourists on the trip were speaking only english.
- driver for shuttle bus / trips was always late. No contact from the hotel on how they will pick us up from the airport. During the island trip the driver arrived 30min late to pick us up.

Great location with a beautiful lagoon and sufficient lounge chairs
Free kayaks and snorkeling gear.
Scooter hire next door
Good restaurant 2 min away at the budget resort nearby
Most frustrating wifi ever as it continually disconnects and you must always resubmit your password, ridiculous as auto reconnect doesn't work.
Bar area way too dark and not inviting.
Food was disappointing in quality and price
Anymore than 3-4 nights would be too long

The bungalows were modern and clean, very spacious
The location was beautiful, right on the beach
Great having canoes, snorkels etc. Available for guests for free
Staff werent very friendly, one lady in particular was aggressive and particularly cold towards us, seemed to treat us differently to other guests because we couldn't speak french.
Not much clear information for those speaking English, transfer to the airport back to Noumea wasnt booked and ended up at the airport 5 mins before boarding which was fine but stressful as we weren't familiar with the processes

Fantastic location. The beach was great for both swimming and snorkelling. Free snorkel and kayaks available. Scooter hire right next door for exploring the island. The restaurant was great but pricey as to be expected. A short work down the beach to kou-bugny resort restaurant of similar quality offered some variety. Included breakfast was good but not amazing. I recommend bringing some drinks and snacks if your luggage limit will allow it as the resort stuff ain't cheap! Wifi was fine but required frequent reconnection. We opted for the tropical bungalow which offered a bit more privacy, I probably wouldn't pay extra for the beachfront ones, the beach is so close anyway! The resort was very accommodating to our last minute date change due to flight cancellations and gave us a late checkout for free as well.
The only real downer was the unreliable airline to get us there but this has nothing to do with the resort of course.
