Questo fantastico bungalow per surfisti della California, recentemente rinnovato, in una delle prime stradine di Pierpont, è una fuga perfetta per chi ama stare nel cuore di tutto. Immerso tra i parchi Marina e SanBuenaventura, ti troverai a pochi passi dall'Oceano Pacifico, dal villaggio di Seward e dal porto di Ventura. In loco sono disponibili parcheggio in spiaggia, sala da pranzo nel cortile e biciclette da spiaggia.

This cottage's location is good and is walking distance (10min) to multiple beach areas. I felt safe there with my young kiddos (7 and 8 years old). The cottage itself is cute and had nice decorating touches. We encountered two issues. One was the cleanliness of the 2nd bed which had visible hair on both the bed and pillowcases and the bedskirt was stained/dirty. Unable to find other sheets, I notified the owner via vrbo but didn't get reply until the following afternoon. (She did refund a portion of the cleaning fees and ask the cleaning company to contact us the next day). Secondly, the unit next to us was doing some work and we were awoken each morning between 7-8am to loud moving/pounding sounds. It would have been nice if the owner had informed us of this work since we were on vacation and trying to sleep in a bit. Overall, it's a nice cottage and in a good location.

The owners put a lot of effort into the details. Everything was clean and every need was taken care of. Very comfortable and convenient.

Everything about our stay here was amazing. The location near the beach, having our dog with us, the house itself is adorable. Our host Jenny checked in right away and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Easy access to the beach and restaurants. If you’re interested in using bikes, you will need to let management know prior to your arrival. Also, the washer and dryer are in a cabinet in the backyard. If you plan to cook, the kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes, everything needed to make a meal. It was a great stay. Thank you.

My family and I stayed at the Merry Mermaid while in town for a wedding. The space was so cozy and inviting, and stayed cool with constant sun. Walking to the beach every morning was a huge highlight, and the beds were very comfortable as well! Hoping to get back here again some day.

We enjoy visiting Ventura and Jen's place was definitely charming and relaxing. Just a block from the beach and a few blocks from good restaurants, the cottage is perfect for us and our small dog. We'll be back!

This place was great! It was clean and decorated nicely. The kitchen was nice. We cooked a lot and found everything. We loved the bedroom with the sitting/tv area. We loved the beach or marina walks close by. Dukes was around the corner and we could walk to the grocery store. The host was super responsive. We were able to visit with our family in area easily. Thank you!

A wonderful place to stay, it was clean, quaint, and simple. It was advertised properly and made our family business reunion special. I rarely write a review, this was such a nice place that it was a simple way of saying "thank you." It accommodated three adults in a very nice way that was comfortable and not overcrowded. The art work and mermaid theme was very welcoming. Thank you for making this a wonderful week.

The Merry Mermaid was the most enjoyable rental we've ever experienced - and there have been many! The home was clean and cozy, bright and relaxing. The beds were amazing and the towels were fluffy.
The neighborhood was adorable and so much was within walking distance. We particularly loved Juice Swell just a few blocks away - the avocado toast, smoothies and coffee were amazing. The kids loved the frozen yogurt place and Social Tap had good food.
We were so happy to experience staying at such a special place!

This charming beach house was a great home base for exploring the Ventura area. It was a block from the beach and conveniently located by restaurants and a grocery store. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked for anyone who wants to cook. We loved the beach themed decor to remind us how close to the beach we were!
Communication with Jen was very good and she was quick to accommodate us when we had to make a change in our plans. Check in and check out was easy.. We would recommend this property!

We had the BEST time at the Merry Mermaid! Can't say enough about how awesome this rental was. The location is fabulous.. we could stroll to the beach in minutes, lots to see and do in the area, and this cottage is the cutest quaintest thing! had all we needed- the hosts thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. also, communication with the host was great.. quick response and super helpful and friendly! will definitely be coming back here again.

The property is very cute and looks exactly as pictured. There was a moment of ant sighting -- however this is a fact of life for beach homes in California and cannot be 100% avoided. This property owner is on top of things by providing spray and supplies to spritz them so they do not bother anything the rest of the stay. The cleanliness of the entire place is very, very good.
It's an extremely quick walk down the street to the beach and grocery/restaurants/freeway access are nearby. Overall very nice place to stay.

We had a really nice time in Ventura and totally enjoyed our stay at the Merry Mermaid Cottage! Definitely one of the most well stocked VRBOs we have ever experienced! Jen was super great at communicating with us and all her extra sweet and special touches made the stay that much more pleasant! We will definitely be back!

Two queen beds were fine, but neither couch would I have my worst enemy sleep in—-excruciatingly painful. Otherwise great location and cute house.

Nice house with easy access to beach. All beach equipment you would ever want. Only problem, and it's the same with all VRBO's and hotels is you have to check out so early on the last day, that you DON'T get a 3rd day at beach, or ?? Places should start charging you 1/2 for that last day.

Wonderful beach stay
My family and I visited the Merry mermaid weeks after having our second child and it was a perfect relaxing getaway we needed. We spent a week exploring the local town by day and evenings enjoying the gorgeous sunset steps away from our front door. Jenny the property manager was very easy to work with and check in and check out what is super easy. Would absolutely come again!
