Lovely place, very comfy bed and a little larger than expected

There seemed to be someone staying at the back of the property as they came into the house as we were getting ready for a wedding.

Pembroke Lodge was very comfortable for our whole family to have an incredible stay in Wanaka. The lodge is really well positioned only a few minutes walk from the town centre and a minutes walk to the waters edge. The rooms are big and bathrooms and kitchen are really well appointed. Parking right out front is an added bonus. Pembroke Lodge is an excellent size with great facilities for a beautiful stay.

Lovely house with close proximity to park and lake. three good sized bedrooms and nice kitchen living area. great bathrooms.

The kitchen does not have to basics needed to cook and store food. for instance no lid for steamer, misshapen thongs and broken spatula. Some cooking oil, plastic wrap and laundry powder would have been great for the stay.

The view from the main bedroom and lounge was amazing with views of the snow capped mountains. The heating was great with open fire with plenty of fire wood, underfloor heating in both bathrooms and plenty of panel heaters. The linen was good quality. The showers were great, good size and plenty of hot water.

The Wifi was not provided free which these days is very unusual in a house of this cost per day. The floors were very noisy with squeaky floorboards. The fireplace was full of ash and there was no room in the bin provided to place the ash. The wood pile was very low and had to be restocked from the house next door. The kitchen had tea, coffee sugar, salt and pepper and nothing else. When you supply a full kitchen there should be a few more of the basics to cook a meal. We bought oil, paper towels and several other basics and left them behind for the next people. A few other things let the property down.

We liked that it had a full kitchen, laundry and a nice lounge with fireplace. it was close to the main road to get to the mountain and close to town for the evenings.

The car port is very close to the back property and we had a big front yard which made it confusing for the rear visitors who kept parking in front of our car port. it was handy to be able to use it when we came back from the mountain with three kids and also to stop the car from freezing overnight so that was frustrating when we couldn’t use it for two of our nights.

It was a great location, only 10 mins walk to restaurants/food trucks/new world and same distance then to the Wanaka tree. Very spacious and the beds were comfortable. Has a washer and dryer which is handy if you stay later on during your holiday. Off street parking also in front of the property. Would definitely stay again!

Everything was great!

The location is excellent, a short stroll from Wanaka town centre and the lake. The house was very well set up with kindling gathered for us and fire set up in case we wanted to light it. We didn't as the house was very warm, completely double glazed. There is underfloor heating in the bathrooms, and a lovely deep bath, perfect for after ski excursions. The house exceeded our expectations - we loved it and would stay there again - hopefully soon!
