Perfect location if you want complete serenity. House was in a perfect location for viewing scenery and lake and for accessing the village. For more shopping , Watrous is very close and easy to get to. We arrived later in the evening than planned and it was a little awkward to see the number on the house and the entry door was up a path beside the house, not the easiest to access in the dark. It does have a motion sensor light though once you reach the door do all good. My only suggestion would be to have the light on in the front. This house was very well stocked and comfortable. It would be nice to have written instructions on how/ where to find the heaters and instructions for the tv. A pamphlet on the town and the resort would be nice. These are all very minor touches and overall a very enjoyable stay and a lovely spot. Will definately recommend and have already told friends and family about it and the village. Thank you Arlene and thank you Ariel. We will be back hopefully during summer.

Overall it was really good. A few suggestions to the owner - the screen door to the deck is difficult to open and close, the gas lines on barbecue need cleaning, the nozzle for the water hose beside the cottage needs work - it sprays all over the place, was no vacuum to clean the rug.

Darlene was easy to talk to and responded quickly to my questions. The cabin was cozy, clean, well equipped and well located. Unfortunately the listing is incorrect and caused us to scramble last minute. We had 10 people in our group and we had a hard time finding a place that would accommodate us. Luckily this cabin said "sleeps 10" with " linens and towels provided" . Shortly before our trip I noticed we were charged for 4 extra people. When I reached out I was informed that even though the listing says "sleeps 10" the cabin actually sleeps 6. This is not communicated anywhere in the listing. We needed to not only pay the extra fee for 4 people but also needed to provide towels and linens. The listing does correctly state that there are 3 very small beds. There is also a hide-a-bed. Not sure where the extra people are supposed to sleep, so 3 people in our group slept in their vehicles. Being that the age minimum is 25, therefore no children allowed. In order to enjoy and relax at manitou I would suggest this cabin to 4 adults max.

This place was so awesome. Nice and clean, hosts were very quick with answering questions and giving instructions. The location is great and a quick walk away from all amenities. I would definately stay here again and will be booking in the future. Great get away for the weekend!!!

Everything is still lovely and functional but we missed the round table in the dining room and the antique piece that gave the cottage more of a cottage feeling. We were pleasantly surprised by the hide-a-bed in the living room! We are hoping the old chesterfield will be removed before our next visit to give a little more room in the dining room.

Just got home from a week at this property. Location was great for us as it’s right across from a beach and playground. The bedrooms are very small with double/twin beds but we made it work! Only problem we had was how hot it got inside but we are spoiled at home with air conditioning. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need to cook while you’re there. Super cute place!

Quaint, clean place. It is nice that there are 3 rooms, but not too sure how the place would sleep 10 (if needed). Lots of fans provided. Great stay overall and the property allowed us the space to host a dinner on the deck and in the front yard.

We found the cottage clean and very well stocked. The grandchildren had so much fun playing in the water and in the tennis court near by. The view was great too!

Property was clean but you really need to upgrade bathroom. Tub especially also not having a vanity leaves 3 people with no place for personal items also no stands or dressers in two bedrooms

Arlene was a great host and made sure we had all the info we needed for our stay. The cottage is so cute and cozy with all the amenities you could need or want for a perfect vacation stay. We loved the direct lake view and truly had the perfect vacation. We will definitely be back!

We are so comfortable in the white cottage. We love our little get away place. I think this was our fourth or fifth stay. It is handy to the pool and has a great view of the lake. The kitchen is well equipped, we love that there is a dishwasher.

We were only there for a few days and enjoyed our stay. Would suggest you work at making the bathroom more user friendly....No place to put soap and shampoo while showering. No hand rail or rubber mat in tub makes showering somewhat precarious...should be addressed before someone gets hurt. A number of reviews make mention of this. Only other issue was the internet / server... was hit or miss....On for a minute or two then off for hours...Very frustrating as this issue lasted for the duration of our stay. Other than that, all went well and we would book again in the future. Tom

Awesome little cabin, we really enjoyed the patio and fire in the evening. All the fans kept the house cool in the hot summer months.

Location was perfect! Across the street from the water and short walk to everything else. Front yard is the perfect place to relax! Cute cabin, has everything you will need.

We wanted to just lay back and relax , we could absolutely do that at this property. Everything we needed . Walked across to the lake several times a day or just enjoyed the view from the deck. The road in front can be busy but nothing to complain about. We plan to return , Arlene has a cute cottage and we truly loved our stay.

We have been a few times and are always happy to be there. We would just request that the air mattress is tested to ensure it holds air prior to our arrival next time.

This was our 23 trip to Manitou Beach. Our last couple of stays have been at this lakefront cottage. It is a great location! The cabin is lovely and clean and well equipped.

We had five ladies together for the weekend in this charming cottage. It was delightful.

We had a great time, the house pictures are deceiving online, the rooms are really small. It's a great house for a mini vacation I just wish there was more room in the bedrooms to put away clothes or a have a night stand. You have to live out of a suitcase the whole time and there's no where to even put a suitcase. The bathroom is not senior friendly, the bath tub is a claw foot which is really elegant looking but so hard to get in and out of. And no where to put shampoo or soap while your in there. It needs a handle on the wall for something to hang on to because the tub is slippery. It's not ideal for tall people. The kitchen is a good size, comes with just about everything you need. Only strange thing is there isn't utensil drawer, but bonus that there's a microwave and dishwasher. The dining room is a good size and has extra chairs to. The lighting in the dining room is really nice and well lit. The living room is a good size, has a couch and a chair and a TV with satellite. There are two fire pits one in the front off the deck and one out back as well. There are good lawn chairs to sit around the fire. The beach is right across from the house but there is a road in between, it's hard to tell from the pictures shown. It's a fairly busy road in the summer. So don't leave kids unattended in the front yard. There is a playground across the road. There's not much of a beach anymore after the flooding they had. But there all small docks with ladders to get into the water. There is a small beach closer to the centre of town down by where the spa is located. The lake water when we went was freezing. But the spa was amazing. Same water as the lake just heated and a huge pool with three different temperatures to choose from. One tip, any open cuts or don't shave before going into the water, high minerals and salt makes your skin burn! Heals and cleans irritated skin but be aware. Would recommend this place for someone who is looking to get a way from it all and relax.

Great property near the water. Very cute, tastefully decorated with everything you need and clean! The cabin accommodated 6 people comfortably. We really enjoyed our stay! The rental of the kayaks was a great option as well.

4 adults and a 3 1/2 year old. We all had a great time...barbecue, fire in the evenings. All day at the beach...close to everything. The cabin was awesome! Looking forward to going back next year!

Very clean & well kept property! Our three kids had a blast & we found everything we needed. Perfect size cottage, we loved having the park across the street & the beach was with in easy walking distance! We felt at ease from the moment we arrived to the freshly raked yard & super tidy cottage! Thank you!

Would be nice to have cushions on the wicker set of furniture, as is uncomfortable without. The fan in front bedroom needs to be reversed, as all it does is bring hot air down from ceiling, other fans were going the right way. Some sort of shelving in the bath tub to hold toiletries for the shower, sink had to be used instead. Other than that everything was just fine and we enjoyed our stay. We accidentally left a long pair of black tongs in the utensil holder on the counter, we left some plates and cups for your use.
