The location was beautiful with plenty of walks in the area so didn’t have to use the car

Some of the grounds had litter but this was a very popular area for walking etc so unsurprising sadly

After I booked they changed to vegetarian only breakfasts. I was not informed of this. I would not have booked on this occasion had I known. My companion was very disappointed

Anyone wanting a hostel stay in beautiful place steeped in history and atmosphere should stay here. You are not staying in a hotel so don't expect that decor but it is a high quality hostel. Rooms clean and toasty warm. Stepping out into such beautiful surroundings takes your breath away. Welcoming staff especially lovely chef who kindly kept me company through my solitary breakfast. He is a real credit to the establishment. Highly recommended accommodation and ideal for families and groups wanting reasonable priced accommodation in place surrounded by beautiful walks.

Clean room and bathroom. Having a kettle. Having a takeaway breakfast which allowed you to eat outside in the garden. Staff were friendly and professional. Great for kids to get rid of all that energy. Staying in a stunning old house in a picture box location.

Just loved the fact of staying in a dorm as a family we had a great laugh Breakfast wasn’t all that but then we didn’t go just for the breakfast I’d say to any one book a night or two Walks the river, cafe , and a generally good location

I think the cleaners could do with going around the windows a bit more lol quite a few webs and dead flies and dust With the current Covid times I was surprised by the dust but it wouldn’t stop us coming again

Beautiful setting in a tranquil location. Competent staff that were well drilled in requirements to meet Covid regulations. It felt comfortable. It helped that I was the only person staying first night and 1 of 2 staying the second. All Good!

Amazing setting, great staff, lovely rooms

We feel very lucky to have been able to stay at Flatford Mill. The whole experience was amazing. The location is beautiful and it was lovely to be able to wander round when all the tourists had gone. Staff were friendly and helpful As the weather was fantastic all week we could eat our meals on a bench in the adjacent field and the children could play there. We stayed in the Valley farmhouse.

All was as described- we had a family room with ensuite. Just be aware it is basic accomodation as described but we thought it was great for a good value holiday in a fabulous location.

The staff were wonderful Diane was especially helpful both in advising where to stay at the centre, and giving tips on where to eat and what to see. Chaps in breakfast room were friendly and both the breakfasts and the lunch (if you chose to have a packed one) were excellent. As it runs educational courses, the wifi is excellent. Great news for anyone feeling deprived of TV. I loved the peace, and listening to owls at night. The setting is just beautiful, and although the rooms were basic, they had everything you needed (including a comfy bed) and were very quirky. Shower was in a separate room but just next door, while there was an ensuite loo and washbasin. Extremely good value, and you get to stay in an oil painting :-) Definitely one of those places that I intend to stay at again.

All brilliant. Could have done with a few more bins because of extra rubbish having a take out breakfast (though breakfast was excellent)

What a wonderful accommodation. Friendly & welcoming staff, lovely location, interesting history, good facilities. I had a great stay here. The takeaway breakfast was tasty and well organised, and I liked their Corona-proof arrangements. Highly recommended!
