This was a horrible experience. We booked this unit for two weeks and upon arrival, we immediately noticed that the unit was dirty and smelled of mold, mildew, and urine even though the kitchen and bathroom windows were open and the AC was running. We messaged the owner who said she would send a cleaner over but the cleaner never came although we tried repeatedly to coordinate with her. The problems were worse than being dirty, however. The coffee table was broken and missing its top. The tub was backed up and did not drain properly. A puddle of water appeared on the floor from a leaky portable AC unit. The most serious problem was mold. We could see growths on the ceiling fan above the bed, on a basket in the bathroom, and on the sofas. The sofas were not what was pictured on VRBO. The owner had sent us a message that sofas were new but later said they were purchased in 2018. She messaged that a guest had damaged them so we should not remove the covers. Since the smell was strongest near the sofas we lifted the corners of the covers and saw that the upholstery underneath was torn apart and disintegrating and there was visible mold growing on their surfaces. We sent photos and descriptions of all to the owner who said the issues were not serious and others had not complained. She told me I had a “comprehension problem” and to stop messaging her and that she was contacting her lawyer. After after three days enduring problems with the unit and her insults, we moved out. We documented all with VRBO and are hoping they follow up.

It was in a perfect location right on the intercoastal and only a block from the beach. My husband fished while I went to the beach it was wonderful. Very peaceful and quiet!

The bed is very old and needs replaced, kitchen needs updated and the whole place needs painted. The place was closed up during the covid lock down without A/C and now has a musty, moldy smell especially around the locked closet. I hope updates will be made. We will not be staying here again.

Monica communicated promptly and often. The place is just as described and all went perfectly. We'd forgotten to bring beach towels and were hoping there would be some there, but couldn't complain about that. It's a wonderful place and a great value. I'd recommend it to friends and I'd happily stay again.

I loved it here and it’s in a great location!

Very musty smell. Mattress was completely awful. Needs to be thrown out. Needs TLC. Air condition could not keep up even in that small of a place. Could be a really cute place just a little care like clean sheets, matching bathroom towels.

We love staying here. Wake up in the morning and sit on the deck overlooking the Intracoastal or walk a block and a half and you're on the beach.

I would recommend this place ,it was everything that I had read about it. My wife and I would go back. I would give it 5 stars but for the tight parking. If you have a compact car your OK but we had a full size ,so it was a bit tight.

Stayed at this property in March/April 2017 for a week. First of all, Carl the owner was great to work with. He was available to answer any questions via phone, and even initiated calls to make sure things were ok. I would definitely work with him again. First of all, the property is in the ideal location for Hollywood Beach. You have the best of both worlds, the inter-coastal at your back door and the beach at your front door. The common area on the dock was a great way to meet the residents of the other units while enjoying an evening cocktail. Throughout the day I did feel like I was impeding on the full time resident's privacy, but they didn't seem to mind. Across a very busy street, you will find the heart of the boardwalk. Lots of restaurants and bars to try but people watching is probably the most entertaining. You can rent bikes to explore the broadwalk. A great morning walk too! Just up the street you can take the water taxi for a day full of sightseeing. it is worth it to do the entire route and then decide where you want to get off for a few hours. Margaritaville is where the stop is for the taxi, a great spot to unwind when you return. As for the unit, I would have given it a 5* but couldn't simply because the kitchen was very small. Otherwise the very clean unit is well equipped with everything you need, a good size bedroom, a newer bathroom and air conditioning. The WIFI was a bit spotty, but it is an older building so to be expected. Beach chairs, coolers for the beach and a small, propane barbeque that was adequate to cook a meal for two people. The biggest plus - your own parking spot. When Carl tells you not to bring a large vehicle - he means it. Parking is at premium along the whole Hollywood Beach strip and expensive. If you like to stay at the Four Seasons, this isn't the unit for you. But the rest of us who like to unwind, relax and have access to lots of activity within a budget, then check it out!

Spent a week at carls condo . Only 1 day in I knew all the great people there.Having coffee every morning on the dock was peaceful and beautiful. The broad walk was a stone throw away yet this location kept you in peace when you wanted it. I am looking forward to returning to waterways home away from home. Dave

It is a short walk to the famous Hollywood Boardwalk, but you have to cross a very busy street to get to the beach. Not a place for small children. The condo was clean and had almost everything we needed. Could use some pots for cooking, but other than that we enjoyed the condo very much. Hopefully we will stay again next year Carl.

This condo was amazing. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Neighbors are all very friendly and helpful. And the view on the back deck was beautiful! Would definitely stay here again.

My husband was only able to stay for 12 days, but I have to say the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood airport is extremely easy to pick up and leave off passenger's. Parking is a big plus when staying in Hollywood Beach. Carl is very helpful and always got right back to me if I had a question. Parents with young children hold tight to those little hands when walking to the beach, it can be a little tricky crossing the street. The dock was a great place to meet new people and have a drink. Everyone is very friendly and helpful with questions about restaurants and night life. We can't wait to go back.

My husband and I stayed here for a “no kids” getaway and enjoyed every minute of it! The condo has just about everything you would need. It was clean, spacious, and soundproof to any outside noise. We used the Margaritaville blender daily to take to-go drinks to the beach and loved it. The condo is in a great central location to all of the restaurants and shops, with the beach being about a block away. The trolley stop is right down the road as well. You really do not need a car if you just plan on hanging around the Hollywood Beach area. We walked everywhere. We even walked to the QuarterDeck restaurant in Dania Beach and downtown to Young Circle on food truck night. Both places were a little bit of a hike, so comfy shoes are a must! Our favorite part was hanging out with the fun neighbors on the dock, enjoying cocktails and fishing at night. The dock was also wonderful for drinking our morning coffee as we watched the huge boats drive by. You really get the best of both worlds at this condo with the beach being so close and then still getting the water view on the dock when you want to get away from the crowds. The owners were very professional and easy to work with. They were very informative as to how to get into the condo and who to contact if there were any questions or concerns (which there weren’t any). I wouldn’t recommend the condo if you have small children because the street that you have to cross can get a little busy, which would make me nervous being a mother, but it is perfect for teenage children and adults. I would definitely stay here again!
