Very clean and friendly accomadation

Very cold radiators took nearly 4 hrs to heat up and when finally did was warm for a couple of hours before I had to get up so was cold all night

staff was very friendly and gave us all a drink coupon upon arrival

was a bit slow on the response to get back in through the gate at night, but at least it is safe for a car.

I had arrived at this hotel at my chosen check in time, when i had arrived upon arrival the man was rudely shouting saying he doesnt have my booking I told him to talk quietly as i was very tired and it was late and i had family. He kept saying to me it isnt his problem I had paid for my booking as well and i will be fighting for a full refund even if it takes me forever, because the service i had received from this hotel was the worst ive ever received in any country. I really dont think ill be visiting rotterdam again in my life. I asked the guy to help me with a room and he said he cant he told me to pay, i told him i have a booking paid for, there was two other rooms which people didnt check in i told him to give me that he said hes full. He just kept lying to me again and again. Eventually we just slept in the car in the car park.

Spacious comfortable room with comfy bed. Main restaurant food was limited but OK. Happy-go-lucky staff.

Noisey fridge in the room. Communal stairs and corridors were left the entire week uncleaned, and the carpets were worn and torn in places. Entrance area covered with cigarette butts. Breakfast was an extortionate 15 EURO. Room rate varies from 74 to 144 EURO per night depending on the nights you stay. In general, the hotel looked and felt very tired and old. Could not get a proper invoice until after I checked out, even though I had paid in full - no reason given other than it was their system! No public transport nearby.

- Breakfast was quite ok, but basic and the Double Bastion Burger was really good - Parking space is ok

- Sink was clogged from day one to day 9 of my stay, even though I brought it up to the reception staff every morning. - Room was not clean, floor was dirty and often sticky all through the hotel. I found napkins on the floor immediately after check-in and some socks near the bed. - Tables from the restaurant were often sticky. - The ashtray outside always had a pile of cigarettes on it and the stairs had cigarettes all over them. - WiFi is a bad joke, there were many times when I was unable to do something as simple as sending an e-mail - They ran out of shower gel, luckily I brought my own - Main gate door was broken and probably still is and you need to use the car entrance. You need to call, of course - Guy from the restaurant asked if I wanted my food delivered to my room and I said yes, then some girl calls in my room and says they don't do service, but I saw them going upstairs with food to other rooms - Often there was a strong smell of weed in the evening, I know this is the Netherlands, but I was not expecting that - Staff is not friendly, I met two or three that were OK, but the rest are just rude, especially if you dare to mention a problem

Hair drier did not work. No near public transport.
