The staff were lovely, the breakfast was amazing and the service during. I fell in love with my room which was a Junior Suite, the bathroom??? The bathroom is amazing. The styling of the whole place is beautiful, and it’s nice and quiet, a short distance away from the busier part of town. I think it’s probably one of the best Hotels I’ve ever stayed in, immaculate.

A beautiful villa with spacious rooms in a quieter area close to the center with a magical garden. It is all so wonderful decorated, you feel like you are travelling in time with so much style. The breakfast is superb, better then we have ever enjoyed in any other 5 star location. Very nice romantic stay, can totally recommend!

Watch out the birds like to throw their droppings on your car ;-)

An absolute gem of a hotel. Tucked away in an idyllic garden setting with the sound of gentle fountains tinkling in the background, the hotel is both grand and spacious, retaining all the elegant period beauty of the original building. The decor is aesthetically very beautiful, from the art on the walls to the comfortable bedrooms - a perfect blend of luxurious comfort and characterful charm abounds. You'll be struck by the great care and consideration in the details. The staff are incredibly lovely and helpful, friendly and professional. Checking in was a breeze. The breakfast was divine and bountiful! We'll be back, and will definitely tell friends and family about this place!

Lovely stay with a very friendly welcome from the staff. The property is charming and while decor is a little dated it is keeping with the style of the house and still very clean. The location was excellent as was the generous and very delicious breakfast.

Challet Fonta Nova is an excellent option to explore Alcobaça and the nearby region. Period decor adds to the ambience, and the breakfast was tops. The spa is a great plus if you want to indulge! Their dinner recommendations were great.

We stayed at some amazing properties in Portugal and Spain and Challet Fonte Nova was the best by far - better than a 10! Maria and staff were outstanding with communication in advance as well as on-site. From their most warm welcome to the property (room, breakfast, common space, honor bar) to dining and transportation arrangements, Challet Fonte Nova was full service!!
