Swaenenvecht is a little gem along a small river near Utrecht with an amazing interior, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful scenery. The breakfast was awesome, our room was unique, and the hotel cat let itself be petted without fuss. We had a great (and too short) time!

Nitpick: shower drain was very slow.

The reception was terrific, we got a tour of this very eccentric and interesting property that's full of strange objects from the past. All the rooms are unique and have their own charms. The breakfast was also fantastic and gave us a really great start to our day. I will definitely be staying again.

What a wonderful gem of a place! I booked it on a whim and I'm happy I did, because this has been one of the most enjoyable stays ever. The location is very peaceful and the autumn landscape was absolutely lovely. Not the best connected place, but very quiet and beautiful. And the staff has been exceptionally helpful and nice, from accommodating my very late check-in to just being all-around wonderful and kind people. They gave me a tour of the property, which is fascinating and quirky - I could even go into the unoccupied rooms at my leisure. There is some interesting history there, and I wish I had more time to fully explore this historical building and all its furnishings.

A bit difficult if you don't have your own transportation, as it's quite far from public transport.

the property is located in a very quiet and beautiful area. the hotel is filled with very fun and quirky antiques. the breakfast was wonderful. by far the best part of the whole experience was the amazing attention given to us by Mabel who was our hostess. she made everything run smoothly with care and warmth.

Breakfast was super - the weather was nice so we had it in the garden. We loved the surrounding and visite the castleden.

To find a place to eat . There is one possibility just near by. For the rest we took a taxi to visite different things.

This may be the best place where stayed in my entire life. It is such a unique place, so peaceful, you feel you are in a painting by Van Gogh! If you have rented a car, do no hesitate to book this one. Unforgettable experience.

Such a nice place! And really cool, old, interesting house. I will admit that based on my limited perusing of the website and lack of Dutch language skills I had thought we were going to be staying at the nearby castle 😂 but our stay was great, and we rented bikes from them and biked to the lake area which was so nice!

it's a bit far from Utrecht centre, but quite easy to reach by bus! In my room you could hear everyone returning or leaving. But there are ear plugs in the room, so it's quite alright!

breakfast was more then enough. fresh room for me alone was sufficient, cosy location is marvellous.
