Balsam Hollow Cabin in the Adirondacks
Balsam Hollow è una cabina rustica di nuova costruzione, affascinante, creata dal cuore per la nostra famiglia, i nostri amici e voi. Dall'esterno e dall'interno interamente in legno, alle ringhiere in legno nel soppalco, alle scale e al portico coperto con ponte avvolgente, la nostra missione è quella di offrire ai nostri ospiti una vera esperienza Adirondack.
Troverete una buca per il fuoco sulla proprietà di 10 acri con una pista per lo sci di fondo e un'escursione.
Circondato dalla natura, appartato e privato, eppure situato in posizione centrale al lago Saranac, Lake Placid e Rainbow Lake con 25 miglia di corsi d'acqua di collegamento.
Anche se siamo nascosti dai sentieri battuti, siamo a pochi minuti da così tanta avventura! My son and his wife family of girls 5,2, 5 months, and Mema, had more than enough room. Beautiful setting, wrap around porch with chairs and fire pit and plenty of wood to burn. Decor nice unique with cozy feeling. And like new.
Kitchen adorable with all the necessary items. All cleaning items provided. There was even a bag of ice for us. General Dollar down the street for most needs.
Bathroom is large and water pressure perfect. Plenty of towels and hairdryer. New washer/dryer.
Bedrooms roomy but queen beds could be replaced, felt like old spring beds from childhood. Plenty of blankets and soft pillows and crisp clean sheets. Loved the string lites on the porch. And bright sunrise in the morning and moonlight at night through the big windows

The cabin was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The night sky was amazing! This was our first experience with Vrbo, and the process could not have gone more smoothly. Communication with the owner was easy and frequent.

This cute little cabin in the woods was a great find. Secluded and yet close to all convinces of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid with several trails close by. The cabin is cozy, super clean, with everything you need and then some in the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and family room. A washer and dryer was a nice surprise. The wrap around porch with bbq is beautiful and restful. A fire pit behind the cabin was a nice addition. The owner Jill, was a gracious host and available when we needed to contact her, she was a joy to talk to and shared lots of information. Check in and check out was really easy. We would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a carefree and restful vacation.

Wonderful stay, perfect family lodging and jumping off point for Lake Placid and surrounding areas. Property was perfect, amenities were "just like home", everything as-described, all communications were detailed, accurate, and prompt. Would stay here again 100%. Thank you!

This was the perfect cabin for our stay in the Adirondacks. We wanted to visit the Olympic sites in Lake Placid and this cabin is less than 30 minutes away. However you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere with beautiful views of trees - which we loved. The cabin is well decorated and comfortable. We had everything we needed and it felt like a home away from home. We would definitely stay here again.

We have been traveling to this area for nearly 20 years, staying in various properties at first. The last 10 years we stayed at two different small cabins. We found this and it is the PERFECT size for us. It is beautiful and clean. Far enough into the woods where you feel secluded in nature but close enough to civilization if you need milk, cookies or ice cream! It has everything we needed and we loved it all. Communication with owners is TOP KNOTCH! We will 100% be back.

We had a great stay - this property is fantastic! Very clean and warm - the heated floors were a great touch for a cold week in February! The whole family loved the We were also big fans of the tankless water heater. Only change we would suggest was for the queen bed on the first floor - it was much squeakier than we were used to. We'd definitely stay here again!

The cabin was awesome and just like in the pictures. We couldn’t say enough good things about this cabin. My 2 daughters and I do an annual hiking trip. We go somewhere different each year. I’ve got to say that Jill’s place is one of the best accommodations we’ve had. Although we picked a cold week for our stay and didn’t use them like we planned, the front porch and fire pit are terrific. Jill’s communication the few times we reached out was prompt and specific. The cabin is not far from Lake Placid and we had no trouble finding challenging hikes to make our annual event a success.

My son and I were invited to a wedding at Mt. Pisgah. We also wanted to visit Lake Placid and see Saranac Lake. Balsam Hollow was superb. I was on repeat all weekend, "Dude, I need a space like this in my life more often." Wonderful experience and hope to return soon.

We had a wonderful time staying at this location. The hosts really thought of everything - plenty of wood for the firepit, propane grill, dishwasher, towels, etc. Centrally located but still private so you feel like you have your own space but are still within good distance of lake placid, white face mountain, etc. Highly recommend!

The host was extremely communicative, the house was perfect! Well stocked, clean, homey, relaxing, and a perfect home base for our Adirondack adventures. The ONLY reason I would give this a 4 star rating and not 5 is that the beds were very jiggly and not comfortable. Thank you so much Jill! We will DEFINITELY keep your place in mind for any future vacation up your way.

Relaxing getaway!
This cabin was perfect for a relaxing time away. It was secluded enough to have privacy but close enough if you wanted to go to a restaurant or the store. Would recommend this cabin and will come back in the future.

Wonderful and Relaxing!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Balsam Hollow! The cabin was beautifully decorated, very clean and well stocked. The location is secluded and private, yet close to both Saranac and Lake Placid. The large wrap around deck was a perfect place to come back to and relax after a long day of hiking and kayaking. Hosts were wonderful to work with. We would definitely stay again!

Relaxing stay
Had a great solo visit. The cabin sits on a very private lot and the interior was spotless and stocked with all the comforts of home. Had a beautiful distant mountain view from the loft .
Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent spot, great location to everything you want to do in the area
Wonderful owners, great communication, quiet spot, plenty of calm peaceful space to relax in, wish the path of the property was trimmed up so we could walk it with our twin boys, otherwise this is the place to stay

Owners are awesome, no guessing with entrance codes or wifi codes, everything was right there. Cabin was very clean and ready to go.

My only suggestions are to store the firewood bark up and/or build a cover so the wood doesn't get too wet in the rain. Also since the tv is not android you can't cast your phone to it so we didn't use it. I'd suggest using a chromecast.

Amazing
Beautiful cabin on a beautiful property. Whole family had a great time. Hosts were very communicative and friendly and cabin had everything we needed and more. Lots to do in this part of the ADKs. If you’re thinking of booking, don’t hesitate! We can’t wait to go back.

A wonderful Adirondack getaway
This was such an amazing place to stay! Property was very well cared for and clean. The house is super neat and has everything you need to be comfortable. The grill and beautiful deck were very nice to cook dinner on. The location is great as lake placid is a pretty short drive and there are also a number of fun things to do right by the house. I would highly recommend staying here;
