The location was good, close to the center. However the property was surrounded by demolished buildings and a building site. The whole area seems to be being redeveloped around the property.

There is a nightclub virtually opposite the property. It operated from mid evening to 6am! There is no sound insulation. It is painfully loud in the accommodation thumping music, there is NO possibility of sleep. The owner should make clear the problems regarding the nightclub to avoid taking bookings from people needing rest. There is no sound insulation. We were disturbed by party-drinking from within the property and domestic arguments. The window frames have no glass in them. Wasps and flying insects are free to enter. We thought the fridge and cooking facilities were in the room, but they are shared. The host charges Booking.com commission on top of the agreed cost. The room is not secure, which frightened my partner. It is on ground floor with potential access through the building site beside our room.

The location was really good, the staff was nice and the shower had hot water + things to handle stuff. It was very clean.

The room was awful, it smelled mouldy, very strong. The two windows were open on the common space and very high, we couldn't close them. It was next to the kitchen so we would awake by the sound of other people talking. Bed was not confortable and we were very cold at night. Also the kitchen had only 3 mugs, forks, knives, 1 pan so we other people cooked or eat, you cannot do it. 1 shower is not a lot for everybody and we had to wait long some times.

The host Rafael made all the difference. Is such a nice person and will help you to book you a taxi and everything. You feel very welcome in his place and he speaks very good english. Close to the city center too. Thank you again! CoMfy room and clean. Hot shower but not much pressure.

The owner was really helpful and nice. He allows me to do an early check-in. The place is quiet and 2 blocks to Plaza de Armas.

Host was super sweet and helpful! Called around the city to help us find vegetarian food, detailed descriptions of routes to take, attractions to see etc. We both arrived and left the city by night bus, and he let us check in when we arrived at 7am, as the room was available, and let us use the kitchen for cooking after check out. It was really, really appreciated! The hostel has got a really homey feel to it, and 2 blocks from the main square it's really central. Definitely value for money.

Walls were a bit thin, so you could hear a lot from other rooms

Rafael is a great host he even walked me to the place he likes to eat typical Peruvian foods at cheap price. He made sure me and my friend were oriented and he scheduled our tours. He is polite and attentive. He even let me check in earlier even though my room wasn’t ready. He let me rest in a room until my tour started. Amazing man, super generous and highly attentive to his customers needs.

Rooms are dark with no windows and weird smell of mould. Shared bathroom is a shower in the end of hall without doors.

This hostel was our home for a month during our lockdown in Peru, and we loved every minute. The owner and son were very close people that made our stay great. We chose it for good location in the first place, and it is! Very close to the plaza de arma and all sort of shops around. Not far from transports and it is quiet and clean. I would definitely go back there!

Arrived in the early hours of the morning to find my room had been given to someone else despite having notified them of my arrival time. Place was like a rabbit warren with corridors seeming to run in all directions. Rooms had feeling of poor quality renovations to make more rooms. I'd hate to be there if there was a fire! Next door is a building site, don't exoect to sleep past 6.15am.

The kitchen was well equipped and the hostel is very clean. Is is only 3 minutes to the Plaza de Armas. The owner gave us our room already in the morning. A special thank to the owner who picked up a package at the bus station for us and helped to organize that we got it a few days later in Mancora. He is very kind and helpful and give you also fair advices what you should do in Trujillo and not.
