Eran 3 habitaciones que es lo que buscábamos y no estaba muy alejado de la zona central mas turística. Tener dos baños también facilita las cosas cuando vas con un grupo de 5 personas, como nosotros.

Las instrucciones nos enviaron a una recepción de un hostel a la que tuvimos que ir para nada, porque nos enviaron a la dirección real sin hacer ninguna gestión. Tienen un mensaje común para todas las reservas y os recomiendo que preguntéis si es necesario ir para no perder el tiempo. Tuvimos que pagar dos taxis y pretendían cargarnos 15 euros más por haber llegado pronto, a lo que dijimos que por supuesto, no. Las camas directamente tenían unos colchones que parecían no existir, además de que las almohadas estaban desgastadísimas y no hacían ninguna función. Es importante descansar bien cuando viajas. Después, que hayan convertido un salón en habitación deja la casa sin opciones para tener un espacio común en el que socializar, lo cual hace difícil la convivencia o el mero hecho de sentarse a comer donde una persona duerme.

Die Unterkunft war von Anfang an falsch bei booking.com ausgezeichnet. Es wurde der Eindruck vermittelt, dass sie sich in der Wilhelmstraße (also sehr zentral) befindet. Letztlich war das angemietete Appartment dann in der Möckernstraße viel weiter außerhalb des Zentrums. Das Appartement war verdreckt, insbesondere die Teppiche und das Bad. Im Kühlschrank waren die Fächer zerbrochen. Das Rollo in einem Schlafzimmer war heruntergerissen. Es war alles so ekelig, dass wir sofort wieder ausgezogen sind. Leider haben wir unsere bereits bezahlte Buchungsgebühr von fast 200 Euro pro Nacht nur zu 20 % von booking.com erstattet bekommen und ein sehr hohes Lehrgeld bezahlt.

Locatie is goed. Dichtbij metrostation. Tegenover een leuk park. Vlakbij techniekmuseum.

Vaatwasser deed het niet en rook vies. TV ging wel aan, maar we vonden geen zenders. De kamers konden niet helemaal donker gemaakt worden als je ging slapen.

The room was big

The pillows were not actual pillows, more like a sheet rolled up supplying no neck support. The door had a glass window in covered by paper. The shower room was dirty and there was pee around the urinal. Also the lock was a bit broken and didn’t completely lock. The toilet room also had pee over the floor. No AC or fan which meant we had to open the window letting countless bugs inside.

The shower had strong water pressure (faint praise - it was a fairly grim bathroom).

This apartment was advertised as being on Wilhelmstrase in central Berlin, but on the day of arrival they sent a message saying the location was 30mins walk from here away from the city. They charged us an extra €15 for 'late' arrival (7pm). This apartment is falsely advertised and I am not sure why Bookings.com continue to allow this on the site. The facilities were really poor and not as depicted in the images. The kitchen and bathroom were particularly awful with only a few plates and cutlery in the kitchen, certainly not enough for everyone to eat. There was no communal space or lounge apart from a small table with four chairs in the hall (not big enough for us all to eat together). Most importantly it was not in the location that was advertised.

We really like the location, because we do not mind walking, and it was very quite close to the sites, we wanted to see. Also, if you're traveling with kids, there is a nice park right across the street come over you can spend some time with them. The parking is available for free on the street so if you come in a good time, you can just park there without paying. Otherwise they offer parking for €20 per day and the underground parking at the building. We liked the rooms because they were spacious, only minus was that one room did not have windows. Which was ok for our kids, because they could just close themselves and sleep in. They did not mind at all. I cannot truly imagine if I was sharing the apartment with strangers, if I would like that. But it's served our purpose perfectly. We did not plan on cooking, so the kitchen did not bother us. There is all you need, a toaster, pans, a kettle, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a small stove top. Fridge is in a hallway and washing machine in the bathroom but all the labels are all in russian alphabet. Good luck. 😂

The communication with the property is a killer. Until we arrived we did not know if anybody would be at the spot because nobody was responding to my text messages or emails. I even had a call with booking customer service who called me Back from Singapore so I want to see the bill. :( I actually hanged up on them. The property manager Actually did write backbut at 6 PM and we arrived at 2 PM. The actual stuff on the spot was a very nice Ukrainian girl, who was very helpful and spoke English. She is there 2-6pm to hand over keys and forms. So I must admit, that, after reading all the horrifying reviews, I was terrified, what's going to be waiting for us, but at the end, we had a lovely stay and would come back. As I mentioned, I would not share this place with a stranger, I think it's good when you run the whole place with friends and share the rooms . PS: I took the pictures when we were leaving, so it look nicer than we arrived.
