Excellent location in the city centre. Comfortable, well equipped room and great value. Walking distance to all the main attractions but also close to the tram. Lots of great bars and restaurants very close by.

Ground floor room was a bit noisy being next to the front door of the property and next to the stairs used by all the other residents. Only a few residents so this didn't spoil my stay and the room, location and value for money were excellent.

Everything was just perfect! The best place to stay in Lisbon for sure! So quiet, so central, so clean and so comfy! I loved to stay here! Joao is so amazing, quick answer and very helpful!

The Alfarma Guest House is a beauty within the old part of Lisbon. The owner is so friendly and contact was established by him short after teh booking via booking.com. The part of the house and rooms we at contains ground floor with living room, kitchen and batchroo and with an old stair to the second floor with the bedroom. The equipment provides all what you need to stay several daays at the location. The guest house has a top roof balcony, which looks nice on the pictures and we expect a beautyful view across the roofs of Alfarma. UNfortunatly no time to stay at teh balcony as the Alfarma is so interseting during the evening to walk through the narrow streets and enjoy the live with the neighbours. Full recommendatio to stay their as all sightseeing spots can be reached by walk and the old tram.

beautiful quaint apartment right in the heart of old Lisbon. The host was very helpful and spoke excellent English. The terrace was just the perfect place to chill and the view was stunning.

Everything was great! The location of Proa d'Alfama Guest House is perfect. I liked very much the views from terraces. The apartament is very comfortable. The bed is wide and cozy. Furnishings are simple, but very tasteful, nice design. Even the mugs are pretty. The kitchen is small, but very well equipped. The shower is nice and big. The owner is helpful. In the apartament you can find a small book with information abouts surroundings - grocery stores, restaurants etc, quite handy!

The location was amazing, Terrace was great and the local cats were cute! Easy access, even though I never saw the hosts - the service was great.

Well, it was a bit of a surprise that in the studio apartment there were just tiny windows and not much of daylight... but in the end, it was probably a blessing. But - next time I would maybe prefer to stay at the top floor of the house!

The location is perfect for exploring the city. There are many, many resto's on walking distance. There is a delicious ice cream shop at the road and there is plenty to do in the city. We enjoyed the terrace on the roof a lot to relax when we came home during the day. We stayed for 6 days and that is a lot for a citytrip, but it gave us the opportunity to do everything in a very nice and relaxing time schedule.

We would have liked to have a place to dry our towels. The terrace would be suitable. Also do we think that the terrace could be more cozy and get a little more lounge factor (little improvement)

The location of the property is very good and central. The room is nice and it has a very comfortable bed. There is a beautiful roof terrace that the guests can use(note: the stairs to the terrace are quite steep, but it didn't bother us). We had an electrical heater in the room which was great as we have visited in February and during the night it got pretty chilly. The kitchen inside the apartment is nice and has everything that you need. It was a great value for the money we paid.

One thing that was not so nice is that the bathroom becomes smelly even if you keep the window open. Also, we visited during the winter and it was a bit chilly in the bathroom as there is no heater. Another thing that I didn't like is that there is no wardrobe to put your clothes. There are several hangers, but as I wear mainly casual outfits I would prefer to have wardrobe/shelves. As a result I had to keep my clothes in the troller/on the chairs which is not ideal.

Little smelly bathroom but clean

The host is a very kind young man. The room facilities are very good. We could have our breakfast on the top of the house, on the terrace with sunshine and a beautiful view. The area is amazing if someone looks for old town feeling.

this place was wonderful. the fact that it is a full apartment is a very good point because you can cook yourself etc. moreover, the flat is very nice, the bathroom incredible (towels and shower gel were provided) and the localization is just perfect : near the tram, near the center and in a small street. furthermore, the proprietor lives upstairs and is there to answers any of your questions and thoughts. it was perfect from the beginning till the end, I really recommend it.

The hosts (including their very lovely & helpful mum) were welcoming and easily contacted with a simple check in. It was a large property considered the Alfama neighbourhood is renowned for being compact, with bathroom, kitchen, dining/living area space - perfect for a group of 4 with weekend luggage. Felt a very safe, quiet area with friendly neighbours and the rooftop terrace is a great addition to sit out and have coffee (or a fresh orange if you can handle it). There is also a great gelato/pizza place outside as well as a stop for the no.28 tram! Great location, easy walking distance to all spots and to get to/from the airport via train. Thank you!
