Nice location in the nature

Very well-equipped cabin in front of a little lake, bed is very comfy, self-check in gives full flexibility. Highly recommended !

The location is very nice. I liked the little community and the setting of the house.

This house could be made so much better with an upgrade to better bedding and towels and a coffee pot that makes more than one cup at a time. The linens were very low quality and not comfortable.

Wish we had met the owner or at least that she would’ve provided some info about the family farm where the property is located. Shower never really got hot.

The cabin was very clean and comfy. Even with really bad weather we enjoyed our time in the cozy cabin.

Very clean and warm. Good isolated setting. Black out blinds worked very well. Bed comfy and shower was really good. Clear instructions for check in. Couple of friendly dogs as well came to say hi!

It was a nice little cottage which is located at a lake and the Helgafell. We had everything we need in the cottage.

It was one of the most beautiful places I've been in Iceland, next to a lake with amazing landscape views. The cottage was very cozy and warm during winter and although there were two days of blizzard it felt very comfortable inside. The host Lara and her family were so kind, making sure I'm alright or if I need anything, and they even went the extra miles, literally, by driving me in though weather conditions all the way to Reykjavík so I can catch my plane as there was no bus that day or the day before. I enjoyed my stay there very much.

Such a great spot by the lake and fantastic amenities in a tiny home. This was one of my favourite stats throughout my 12 day trip of Iceland and saw a great view of the Northern Lights!

Check-in process wasn't done by the owner, but (probably) her dog. It showed us around the property, which is lovely (so is the dog!). I learned about Helgafell and the Saga related a bit before our arrival by reading about Gudrunarlaug, and when I saw that we would be staying literally at THE Helgafell I was super happy. I really felt connected to the tales (which I absolutely love). Other than that, the place is super nice, modern and cozy. Near the main city and close enough to all main attractions on the peninsula. I recommend!

It could only be more perfect if it had a hot tub! If I need to say something, the shower was under average compared to our other stays (not so potent nor with good space). Considering that the hot water supply is limited I would say it makes sense, so people don't stay under it for ages.

Amazing place, warm, comfortable, very well equipped. Superb view. Host very available (we had a problem and they came to fix it in a few minutes). highly recommended.

What an amazing place - a real gem! Spacious, the cabin has everything you might need, and is beautiful as well. Large windows overlooking the little lake - the whole location is stunning, with a captivating backstory. This is a place where you could stay forever - an ideal basis to explore the peninsula. If you don‘t want to use the well-equipped kitchen, it is only a short ride into town with several good restaurants.

Only one minor thing: people with longish hair would probably appreciate a more powerful hairdryer.
